11. Using a thermal bag, soften the glue connecting the parts of the iPad from below. Insert the spatula again and run it from the right corner to the center of the end. You need to stop at a distance of 1 cm from the Home button. If you do not do this and continue to walk with the tool, you may damage the cables. Remove your spudger and use a plastic triangle.
12. Turn the thinnest edge of the spatula and go directly under the button.
13. Having overcome the “Home” button, you can again drive the paddle deep, clearing to the left end of the lower edge (the pick is already installed there).
14. Look at the diagram from step 1. Make sure that the areas with the thickest glue strips have been successfully cleared. Otherwise, you will have to carry out additional cleaning of the glue using a thermal bag.

This iPad model has very short cables. Do not rotate the display around the bottom edge. The cables can also become unusable if the screen is raised 80 degrees.

You need to lift the display 60-70 degrees to access its individual parts.

1. You need to remove the battery as a short circuit may occur. To do this, you need to unscrew 9 screws (eight 1.2 mm and one 2.4 mm). Keep the display open and ensure that the display cables do not become kinked during operation.
2. Lift up the metal shield protecting the motherboard. It will take some effort to remove the plate. It may become slightly deformed during removal.
3. Unscrew the 1.8 screw covering the battery connector using a screwdriver.
4. Insert a battery lock or any other tool into the motherboard and leave it there for isolation purposes until the repair is completed.
5. Remove the 3 screws above the display cable bracket (2.4mm and 1.2mm). Remove the metal plate.
6. Remove the two cables from their sockets on the motherboard.
7. Now you can remove the display. Be sure to remove all remaining adhesive and install new adhesive strips.
8. Replace the screen.
9. Reassemble in reverse order.
