It’s already commonplace that when we talk about phones with the letter “S”, an image pops up that only a few compete with. Let's try to assess whether this is the case with Apple iPhone 6s. The device is controlled by iOS 9. The powerful 64-bit Qualcomm MDM9635M (9X35) processor, also called A9, which, according to manufacturers, is 70% more efficient than its predecessor. It’s hard to say what the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, Nexus 6P, Huawei Mate S, Samsung Galaxy S6 “breathing in the back” think about this.

Appearance

Since the device has become slightly thicker (138 x 68 x 7.1 mm), this is slightly reflected in the weight, which is 143 g. The slight increase in weight is due to the use of 7000 series aluminum, which is 60% stronger than the body material of earlier models. This further reduces the chances of deformations and scratches. The new flagship is dressed in rose gold, which makes it very different from the Apple iPhone 6 and which, I think, will be appreciated by beautiful ladies. This significantly increases the model’s chances of success in China. The same colors remain: silver, gold and space grey.

Screen

Apple iPhone 6s Features a Retina HD display with 3D Touch technology that is responsive to both touch and light pressure. This is not surprising, because the graphics processor is 90% faster than before, which is especially noticeable when running resource-intensive applications. It seems that the device has become a little denser precisely because of the presence of 3D Touch. The clarity and contrast of colors in large pictures has become even better. The diagonal is 4.7 inches with a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels. The properties of sapphire glass ensure the safety of the S6 owner’s nerves, because to break it you need to try hard.

Functionality

A noticeable difference between System-on-a-Chip is the high-speed 4G LTE Advanced LTE connection, due to which the data download speed increases from 120 Mbit/s to 300 Mbit/s. The level of heating and power consumption of the new chip also exceeds that of its predecessor. The Touch ID scanner uses a new fingerprint sensor, making it very easy to work with the lock. Hey Siri has also been slightly improved - now voice assistance is active regardless of the presence of a network connection.

Camera

The new 12 MP camera, with 1.5 micron smaller dots, is the reason for reduced grain and even more pronounced detail. And here's the news - you can shoot 4K video, which is many times better than HD. Apple iPhone 6s creates even better night video and pictures. Clear resin optics are another hit, providing fine filtration in a minimal chamber size.

Battery Apple iPhone 6s produces 1715 mAh. The developers promise 14 hours of casual conversation, 10 hours of surfing and 11 hours of video mode.

Yes, what has been said is enough to understand that we are talking about a market leader, and those who doubt it will only be convinced by personal acquaintance with the 6S.

The flagship solution, which other market participants are focusing on, speaks about its impeccable hardware and software parameters. Is this really so - the answer will be given in this material.

Who is this device for?

Any Apple smartphone is a major event in the world of gadgets. It was no exception in this regard and its price did not change much compared to its predecessor. And the appearance of the device remained almost the same. But the hardware of this “smart” phone has improved significantly compared to the parameters of the previous generation. Otherwise, this smartphone boasts a rich package and is of greatest interest to the most demanding users. But at the same time, its cost is appropriate.

Gadget design

The last two generations of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S are almost identical in terms of design. They come in a non-separable metal case. The front panel is protected by impact-resistant ION-X glass. Behind it is a 4.7-inch display matrix made using IPS technology. At the bottom there is a single control button, which has a built-in fingerprint sensor. On the right edge there is a SIM card slot and a gadget lock button. And on its left side there are volume controls and a button to switch to silent mode. On the bottom side of the device there is a conversational microphone, lightning ports and a 3.5 mm audio port. On the back of the smartphone is the main camera (it protrudes beyond the back cover) and its dual LED backlight. There are four color options for the case of this device: silver and gray are complemented by the already familiar iPhone 6s Gold and a new pink color.

CPU

Of course, the Apple A9 processor solution of this gadget cannot boast of impressive technical parameters. It has only 2 64-bit compute modules, which can accelerate to 1.8 GHz under heavy load. Compared to the Snapdragon 810 with two computing clusters, each of which includes four computing cores, its parameters look really modest. But, on the other hand, don't forget that this is a 6s. A distinctive feature of this platform is its high degree of optimization. If in the case of Android software the device often runs a lot of unused software in the background, here CPU resources are used more efficiently. Everything unnecessary stops immediately. Therefore, this gadget will run any software without any problems, including the most demanding ones. However, this picture will continue for the next two years. That is, the owners of this smartphone will certainly not have to worry about lack of performance in the near future. The same cannot be said about the flagship solutions of the competing platform - Android. Here, changes occur much more frequently, and problems with a lack of computing power are felt within a year after purchasing a flagship solution from any manufacturer.

Graphic arts

This smartphone uses PowerVR GT7600 as a graphics solution. This video card was jointly developed by Apple and Imagination Technologies. This is the most productive graphics solution, which in its capabilities leaves far behind its direct competitors - Adreno 430 and Mali-T760MP8. Moreover, even now, six months after the start of sales, the situation in the segment of mobile graphics accelerators has not changed and “ZhT7600” continues to remain the sole leader. As a result, any iOS platform applications will run without problems on this generation of iPhone for another 2 years.

Another plus of the gadget: display

This device cannot boast of any sky-high resolution like 4K. But, on the other hand, what's the point in these 4K? Even HD resolution does not allow the ordinary eye to distinguish an individual pixel on a 4.7-inch screen diagonal. And here the diagonal is the same 4.7 inches, but the resolution is a little better - 1334x750. The screen matrix itself is made using IPS technology, which guarantees excellent color rendition and brightness. Also, the combination of a resolution of 1334x750 and IPS matrix manufacturing technology can significantly improve the autonomy of the gadget. The manufacturer did not forget about the iPhone 6s. A review of the technical specifications of this smartphone model indicates the presence of ION-X tempered glass. Also special mention should be made of the proprietary 3D Touch technology. Its essence lies in the fact that the smartphone can determine the degree of pressure on the touch display and, depending on this, execute completely different commands.

Memory

In terms of the amount of installed memory, all Apple smartphones lag behind competing platforms. If today's Android flagships can boast of having 4 GB of RAM, then there is only 2 GB of RAM in the iPhone 6s. Reviews highlight the fact that this is quite enough for comfortable and smooth operation of the device. The key feature here is software optimization, which allows you to use device resources more efficiently. There is no separate slot for installing an external drive in this device. But the capacity of the built-in storage can be 16, 64 or 128 GB. Considering the lack of possibility to increase the volume, it is better to immediately buy a device with the required amount of built-in memory.

Cameras

It seems like a modest sensor - 12 megapixels - is the basis of the main camera of the iPhone 6s. Comparison with direct competitors, unfortunately, confirms this. But the optical system of this camera, as well as software filters, allow you to take photos that are superior in quality to sensors with a significantly higher number of megapixels. This device also features autofocus technology and a dual flash. Video here can be recorded in 2160p format with a refresh rate of 30 frames per second. The front camera has a 5 megapixel sensor and this allows you to take impeccable quality “selfies” with its help. Well, she also copes well with her second task - making video calls.

Battery and its capabilities

The modest capacity of the built-in battery is 1715 mAh in the iPhone 6s. A review of the parameters of Android flagships is further confirmation of this. But, on the other hand, you need to understand that the iOS system boasts high optimization. Add to this a very economical processor solution in terms of battery consumption, a relatively low display resolution and an energy-efficient screen matrix and we get 14 hours of continuous operation in the most intensive use mode. Well, when the load decreases, you can fairly count on 2-3 days of work. But in this case it will be difficult to achieve anything more.

Software

6s immediately, out of the box, runs the latest version of the operating system - iOS 9. It was developed by the manufacturer specifically for the announcement of this gadget. All the hardware resources of this device are perfectly matched to this software and, as a rule, no problems arise during operation. This operating system is perfectly compatible with all existing software on this platform and, as a result, everything runs on this device.

Full iPhone 6s review.

In the fall of 2015, Apple presented its new 4.7-inch smartphone - iPhone 6s. The new product turned out to be externally identical to its predecessor, the iPhone 6, but in technical terms it has improved more than noticeably. We examined in detail all the pros and cons of the smartphone in our review. You can buy iPhone 6s in online stores at the following prices: iPhone 6s 32 GB - RUB 19,990.

Design

There were no significant changes in the appearance of the iPhone 6s compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 6, which surprised no one at all. Apple smartphones with the letter S are traditionally similar to previous models. However, the new product did not become a complete copy of the iPhone 6.

First of all, the dimensions have changed. The iPhone 6s has become heavier - only 15 grams, but they will really be felt, especially if you have been using the iPhone 6 for a long time. The iPhone 6s has also gained weight, which is 7.1 mm in thickness - 0.2 mm more than the original "six". The dimensions of the smartphone are 138.3 × 67.1 × 7.1 mm.

The iPhone 6s has an all-aluminum body (made from one piece of aluminum, no exaggeration), but not the same as the iPhone 6. To create the body of its new smartphone, Apple used 7000 series aluminum, commonly used in the aerospace industry. It is 60% harder than the previous aluminum used in the iPhone 6. The need for Apple to use a more durable metal arose due to a considerable number of negative reviews regarding the iPhone 6 and its bendable body. In the case of the iPhone 6s, there will definitely not be such responses.

The first bend tests of the iPhone 6s showed that Apple was not in vain. The smartphone can still be bent, but this requires considerable force. Just being in your trouser pocket will definitely not bend the iPhone 6s. However, using a smartphone, as before, is not recommended.

The front panel of the iPhone 6s is identical to that of the iPhone 6, but there is one notable difference on the back. We are talking about the letter S, which is the only noticeable external difference between the “sixes” of two different generations. An interesting point - the last time the letter S appeared on the case cover was only in the iPhone 3Gs, after which Apple stopped specially marking the S versions of its smartphones.

Otherwise, the back surface of the iPhone 6s is identical to the iPhone 6. The smartphone has the same noticeable antenna stripes and a protruding camera with a True Tone flash. There are also no changes on the side faces - all controls and the nanoSIM card tray remain in their places. Let us remind you just in case. On the left side there are volume control buttons and a call mode switch, on the right there is a power button and a SIM card tray, on the bottom there is a 3.5 mm audio output, two microphones, a speaker and a Lightning connector.

In general, the sensations from using the device are exactly the same as from the iPhone 6. The smartphone is very compact, especially in comparison with the “shovels” that have become fashionable, it is not at all slippery, and thanks to the rounded ends it can be easily lifted from any surface. However, the most convenient way to use the iPhone 6s is with two hands; this is the only way you can reach any place on the screen without the risk of the smartphone falling.

iPhone 6s comes in four colors: silver, dark gray, gold and pink. The last color is new, introduced by Apple specifically to further interest the fair sex. In addition, the color pink is crazy in China, one of the main markets for Apple. All iPhone 6s body colors look great, as usual.

The smartphone comes in a traditional form, but original in appearance, packaging. On the front surface of the box there is a bright picture, which is one of the backgrounds of the main screen of the iPhone 6s. The smartphone comes standard with a charger (5V, 1A), a Lightning-USB cable, EarPods, a SIM card tray ejector, leaflets and stickers.

About the cases

We should finish the conversation about the appearance and design of the iPhone 6s on the rather important topic of compatibility with the new cases from the iPhone 6. Despite the fact that the dimensions of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 differ (albeit slightly), most cases from the original “six” are suitable for iPhone 6s is perfect.

But, alas, not all. Some cases and bumpers seem to fit normally, but may not completely cover the end of the case, or may come off on one or sometimes even both sides. At the same time, the iPhone 6 cases do not cover the camera and buttons of the iPhone 6s, and this is the main thing.

Display

iPhone 6s has a 4.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1334×750 pixels (326 pixels/inch). Apple decided not to go after competitors who are bringing the display resolution of their new products to Quad HD and higher, and retained its usual HD resolution. Can this be called a minus of the iPhone 6s?

Definitely not. The display is very bright (up to 550 cd/m2), with wide viewing angles, and there is no trace of grain. Without chasing the fashion introduced by other manufacturers, Apple continued to pursue its own line. Instead of adding extra pixels, the company has maintained the perfect balance between screen quality and performance. In addition, increasing the display resolution would certainly affect the battery life of the iPhone 6s.

The display coating of the iPhone 6s is anti-reflective, due to which you can easily read text from the smartphone screen even in bright daylight. In addition, the display coating is oleophobic. The iPhone 6s screen is not easy to leave fingerprint marks on, and it erases without much effort.

Apple's stated iPhone 6s display brightness is 500 cd/m2, but in practice the maximum brightness is 550 cd/m2. This also has a positive effect on using a smartphone outdoors on sunny days. The minimum brightness of the iPhone 6s screen is 5.5 cd/m2. When the option to automatically adjust the display brightness is activated, the transition from one level to another is flicker-free, including when it comes to sudden changes in ambient light.

The color gamut of the iPhone 6s screen is almost equal to sRGB, the contrast is 1500:1 (with the stated 1400:1), the colors are saturated but natural. The display of the smartphone, without a doubt, can be called one of the best among smartphones with a diagonal of up to 5 inches.

The main feature of the iPhone 6s display is the 3D Touch pressure tracking technology. However, we will talk about it in more detail below.

Touch ID

The iPhone 6s has a second-generation Touch ID fingerprint scanner, which is faster than the original version. The difference between the new Touch ID and the old one is noticeable to the naked eye. Recognition is performed almost instantly, and at first, it can even cause inconvenience when using a smartphone.

The fact is that by pressing the “Home” button just to look at the lock screen, for example, to check notifications, you already risk unlocking the iPhone 6s. That's how fast the second generation Touch ID works. Therefore, willy-nilly, you will have to get used to it, accustoming yourself to check notifications by pressing the power button.

The secret to such amazing speed of the second generation Touch ID is that the scanner is equipped with two processors for processing biometric data instead of the previous one. Each processor performs its own function, due to which their joint work ends much faster.

The Touch ID setup procedure has not changed compared to previous iPhone models equipped with a fingerprint scanner.

Hardware

iPhone 6s is equipped with a dual-core 64-bit Apple A9 processor with a frequency of 1.84 GHz. The processor architecture is based on ARMv8-A, Apple M9 motion coprocessor and PowerVR GT7600 six-cluster graphics chip. The iPhone 6s has 2 GB of RAM and 16/32/64/128 GB of internal memory, depending on the model.

Note that this is the first time the M9 motion coprocessor has been integrated into a system on a CPU. Previously it was located separately. Apple engineers implemented this solution not only to free up space under the iPhone 6s case. Due to the integration of the coprocessor into the processor, it began to consume less power, and also allowed the “Hey Siri” function to be active without necessarily being connected to a charger. Let's remember that this feature makes it possible to activate the Siri assistant with the voice command “Hey Siri” on a locked iPhone.

Apple claims that the A9 processor is 70% faster and the graphics chip is 90% faster than previous models. Is it really?

In testing in the Geekbench 3 benchmark, Apple's new product scored 2312 points in single-core mode and 3920 in multi-core mode. The iPhone 6 received 1423 and 2388 points in this testing, respectively.

In percentage terms, the difference was 38.4% and 39%, respectively.

Testing the performance of smartphone graphics chips in the GFXBench Manhattan (on-screen) benchmark went according to the expected scenario. The iPhone 6s posted a strong 56.1fps, while the iPhone 6 finished the test with a modest 25.8fps.

Note: the on-screen testing mode provides for displaying images with a resolution of 1080p on the smartphone screen.

In the comprehensive Basemark OS II benchmark, the iPhone 6s again won a landslide victory. The smartphone scored 2139 points versus 1239 points for the iPhone 6.

The final testing was carried out in the JetStream browser benchmark, which evaluates the speed of devices on the Internet. The Apple A9 chip has done its job again. The iPhone 6s score is 118.9 points, iPhone 6 – 67.48. The difference is almost twofold.

Summarizing all the above tests, we can summarize that the iPhone 6s received a serious performance increase compared to the iPhone 6, as Apple promised. Separately, it is necessary to note the improvements in terms of the PowerVR GT7600 graphics chip, which has indeed become twice as fast as its predecessor.

Autonomous operation

The battery capacity of the iPhone 6s is 1715 mAh, which is 95 mAh less than the iPhone 6. This fact was quite surprising, since the iPhone 6s is slightly thicker and heavier than its predecessor. However, despite the decrease in battery capacity, the iPhone 6s battery life lasts longer than previous Apple smartphones.

Testing with a web script simulating normal smartphone use showed that the iPhone 6s lasted 8 hours and 15 minutes without recharging. The iPhone 6 withstood a similar procedure for only 7 hours and 2 minutes. The increase in battery life has occurred by more than an hour, although Apple officially claims the same autonomy of smartphones.

Three repeated tests confirmed the advantage of the iPhone 6s over previous models in terms of battery life. From this we can conclude that the system on the Apple A9 processor is more energy efficient, and the integration of the M9 motion coprocessor into it was not without a trace.

Cameras

All iPhone models starting with the iPhone 4s came with an 8-megapixel camera. Apple was not at all interested in the fact that other manufacturers staged a real megapixel race - the company calmly improved its usual 8-megapixel camera in every possible way. The result was impressive every time - Apple was able to significantly improve the quality of the cameras while maintaining their previous resolution.

But, apparently, the potential of the 8-megapixel has been used up. The iPhone 6s has a 12-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture, Focus Pixels autofocus, 4K video recording at 30 fps, dual flash and five-lens optics. Technologically, the camera has also been improved - it has improved noise reduction technology and an improved tone mapping system.

The main disadvantage of the iPhone 6s camera is reduced sharpness in the corners of photos and distant plans. She walks openly and in order for the photo to turn out well, most often you have to take several frames. It is noteworthy that the iPhone 6 camera did not have this problem. It is hoped that the problem is not in the iPhone 6s camera itself, but in the software, and with the next iOS updates the situation with floating sharpness will be corrected.

Otherwise, the iPhone 6s camera shoots “no worse” than the iPhone 6 camera. That’s right - no major improvements have occurred, even despite the increased resolution.

I still want to end the conversation about taking photos with the iPhone 6s camera on a positive note. The camera's shooting speed is impressive - it takes 1.7 seconds to take a photo, and 1.9 seconds in HDR mode. By comparison, the iPhone 6 took 1.9 and 2 seconds to complete these tasks, respectively. The main competitor of the iPhone 6s, the Galaxy S6, has noticeably higher figures - 2.2 and 2.4 seconds, respectively. In other words, Apple has once again created a camera that takes photos the fastest.

Examples of photos taken with an iPhone 6s camera

But where there are absolutely no complaints about the iPhone 6s camera is in video shooting. Shooting is performed without defects and artifacts in all main modes. The best part is that there are no problems when recording video with 4K resolution - the mode can be set to default and changed to a lower quality only if there is not enough memory space or you need to shoot video at 60 fps.

As before, users will have to exit the Camera app and head to Settings to switch shooting modes. Note that this will need to be done more often, as there are more modes. This is inconvenient, but, probably, in the next versions of iOS, Apple developers will listen to users and place shooting mode switches directly into the Camera application itself.

The software feature of the iPhone 6s camera is the ability to shoot Live Photos. The so-called “live” shots are three-second videos recorded in 1080p resolution. Live Photos are recorded in a special mode in the Camera application, and played back with increased pressure using 3D Touch. On Mac computers, “live” pictures are played without problems, but on a PC it is not possible to open them. It’s the same with older iPhone models - you won’t be able to transfer a “live” photo from an iPhone 6s to the same iPhone 6. This, by the way, is the main disadvantage of Live Photos. Due to existing limitations, you need to use the new function with an eye on how and where you want to upload your creations afterward.

And if few people will be completely delighted with the main camera of the iPhone 6s, after all, there have been no fundamental changes, then the updated front camera will definitely please. Instead of the previous 1.2-megapixel front camera, the iPhone 6s received a 5-megapixel one. And in this case, the increase in resolution cannot be ignored. The pictures taken with the front camera of the iPhone 6s are excellent, although not without noise.

A notable feature of the iPhone 6s front camera is the Retina Flash. When taking a selfie, the smartphone screen turns white, highlighting the user's face. Retina Flash, like everything else from Apple, works in a “smart” way. In complete darkness, the screen flash will be bright white, which will illuminate the face the most. If you shoot under room lighting, the flash will have a softer color. Thanks to this analysis, Retina Flash will not blind the user unnecessarily.

3D Touch

The main software feature of the iPhone 6s was 3D Touch - a new way to interact with the screen. 3D Touch technology tracks pressure applied to the display, giving users a range of unique experiences. When you press hard on various elements of the iOS interface, an alternative action is triggered, not the same as with a normal press.

Pressing hard on an application icon on the home screen causes a pop-up menu to appear with a list of commands, which varies depending on the application. In Notes, these are options for quickly creating a new entry, photo or sketch; in the App Store - options to go to search and enter the activation code, etc. 3D Touch also supports third-party applications.

3D Touch functionality isn't limited to opening submenus on the home screen. In some standard applications, 3D Touch has introduced new gestures that Apple calls Peek & Pop. So, in the Mail application, iPhone 6s users will have the opportunity to preview the contents of any letter by pressing hard on it. Quite convenient.

3D Touch is an interesting feature, no doubt, but it is truly effective when performing only certain tasks. We're talking about launching commands that are difficult to reach by simply opening the application. For example, in order to create a new entry in the Notes application in the usual way, the user requires two actions - launch the application itself and click the create new note button. Using 3D Touch does not speed up this process, since creating a note is performed by the same two actions - pressing hard on the “Notes” icon and selecting the desired item. There is no smell of efficiency here.

However, there is a considerable list of commands that are actually easier to perform through the 3D Touch menu. For example, when you press hard on the Tweetbot application icon, you can quickly send the latest photo. We calculated the number of steps required when performing this task normally and using 3D Touch. Apple technology reduces the number of required actions exactly in half - from six to three. And this is just one example. In fact, developers can introduce even more effective options for the 3D Touch menu that will improve the user experience of iPhone 6s owners.

Some personal impressions of using 3D Touch. The main thing that is necessary to start using the function effectively and beneficially is a habit. Initially, you only remember about 3D Touch while sitting at home in a quiet environment. In the hustle and bustle of the working day, fingers automatically ignore the new feature of the smartphone, launching the options of the necessary applications in the most ordinary way. This is why 3D Touch takes some getting used to, and many will have to do it by force. Once interactions with the feature become normal, it begins to provide benefits, which increase the more often and more actively you use your iPhone.

Sound

The iPhone 6s has also seen improvements when it comes to sound. Apple's new product sounds much better than the iPhone 6, thanks to the new Cirrus Logic 338S00105 DAC and two 338S1285 Audio IC amplifiers. iPhone 6s sounds richer and clearer both when playing music through the speaker and through headphones.

Prices

As of December 2019 You can buy an iPhone 6s in Russia at the following prices:

  • iPhone 6s 32 GB - RUB 19,990 .

Bottom line

The iPhone 6s is not a perfect smartphone, but Apple has succeeded in updating the line. The new product has amazing performance, increased battery life compared to previous smartphones, a finally improved front camera, a magnificent screen, an instantly responsive Touch ID scanner and many original features, the main one being 3D Touch. The only serious disadvantage of the iPhone 6s is the price.

In this regard, we can recommend taking a closer look at the Phone 6s to absolutely everyone, even to owners of an outwardly almost indistinguishable iPhone 6. The iPhone 6s will last a long time, of high quality and reliably, largely due to its more durable body.

Perhaps the most popular smartphone model in the world at the moment is the iPhone 6s. Even users who are not fans of the famous corporation no, no, and glance in the direction of this device.

Features and Specifications of Apple iPhone 6s

The smartphone entered the global market in September 2015. Compared to the usual six, its dimensions have changed slightly upward, and the weight of the device has also increased.

It fits perfectly in the hand and does not slip out. The high-quality aluminum body is pleasant to the hand and does not bend. In a word, all possible “appearance” problems that existed with the previous device were taken into account and improved by the corporation’s engineers.

But using just a pretty wrapper wouldn’t be very interesting; It’s good that all Apple smartphones have never been like that. Developers have always provided their creations with the most advanced characteristics, to say the least, especially in the case of the Apple iPhone 6s.

iPhone 6s specifications:

  • RAM 2 GB (2048 MB).
  • A9 processor.
  • Screen 4.7 inches
  • Weight 143 gr.
  • Camera 12 MP.
  • Front camera 5 MP.
  • Availability of Touch ID.
  • Built-in memory depends on the device model (16, 64 and 128 GB).
  • Availability of wireless communication modules such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LTE.

Detailed characteristics of the iPhone 6s

CPU

The processor used in the device provides incredibly powerful performance. Compared to the previous processor, which was equipped with sixth models without the “s” prefix, performance increased by almost 1.5 times, and power consumption, on the contrary, decreased significantly, by more than 30%. This means that the device can work for up to two days without recharging, which makes users very happy.

RAM

Until recently, iPhones got by just fine with 1GB of RAM, and some models still do this. The iPhone 6s has as much as 2 gigabytes.

Display

One of the most impressive characteristics of the Apple iPhone 6s is, of course, the display features: a resolution of 1334 by 750 pixels, support for up to 10 simultaneous touches, an IPS matrix, a protective glass called Ion-X (according to Apple, the most durable glass in the world that is used for creating airplane windows).

In addition, there is a new 3D Touch screen function, thanks to which the display is able to distinguish between light touches and strong pressure, which has a positive effect on the ease of use of the smartphone.

Camera

The camera is great, it has always been good in gadgets from Apple, but for the first time the developers have used a technology called Retina Flash for the front camera, thanks to which, when taking a selfie, the screen becomes 3 times brighter than usual.

iPhone 6s: characteristics of various models

According to established tradition, iPhone 6S models with different amounts of built-in memory go on sale, namely; 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB. They have no difference in the main characteristics; any of these options can be purchased in the color you like: “space gray”, gold, silver and the so-called “rose gold”. But as for the price of these devices, it will certainly differ from the amount of built-in memory.

Apple iPhone 6s 128gb

This smartphone will cost an average of $847, and the pink model may be a little more expensive, about 15-20 dollars.

Apple iPhone 6s 64gb

The 64 GB iPhone model in pink costs around $760, in other body colors it is a little cheaper.

Apple iPhone 6s 16gb

An iPhone 6S with built-in memory of 16 GB can be found on sale at prices ranging from $640 to $645, again depending on the color, where “rose gold” is slightly more expensive than the others.

The camera capabilities of the phone are phenomenal, so if you have the opportunity, it is still better to give preference to models with a large amount of memory.
