Smart Tools - toolkit– a beautiful and multifunctional application. The developer has included many really useful functions in it that we often need to use in our lives.

One program contains six unique tools that can completely replace alternative applications:

  • 1. Ruler - consists of three elements: the ruler itself - with its help you can even measure the length of a small coin and other things; protractor - angles are measured both by placing an object on the phone screen, and by pointing the smartphone camera at the object whose inclination angle needs to be measured; level – perfectly calibrated and determines the evenness of the surface to which the phone is attached.
  • 2. Unit - an excellent converter of various units of measurement from length to volume. What is missing, of course, is a currency converter.
  • 3. Distance is a rather interesting tool that allows you to use your phone camera to determine the distance to an object, its height, as well as its width and area.
  • 4. Compass – Includes an accurate compass as well as a metal detector for detecting metal objects. The latter, however, only works if you bring the smartphone close to the metal.
  • 5. Sound - this includes a noise meter that determines the volume level in decibels and a vibrometer to determine the intensity of an earthquake on the modified Mercalli scale.
  • 6. Light – consists of a flashlight that shines brightly on both the phone screen and the LED on the back.

The design of the program is really very original and beautiful. There are no ads in the application, and excellent optimization eliminates slowdowns and freezes, which makes working with the project more enjoyable. There is high-quality localization. Despite the large number of analogues, Smart Tools - a toolkit stands out against their background due to its universalism and “All in one” approach, which fully justifies itself.

An application that every Android user should probably have, because it contains such useful functions that are periodically needed in different situations. From the name you can understand that Smart Tools is a real combine that consists of sets of a wide variety of tools and sensors, such as a ruler, compass, level, magnifying glass, flashlight, sound level meter, and so on. All the tools in the program are divided into five professional sets, which consist of sixteen of the most necessary tools in everyday life.

The first set contains tools for various measurements, you can measure length and angle, slope and level, as well as threads, these tools work surprisingly accurately, after several tests you can confidently say that you can safely trust them. The second set contains tools that will allow you to measure the height of an object, distance, width, height and area, this set was also tested, the results are positive, the functions work correctly.

But the third set is completely unnecessary in my subjective opinion, it contains a metal detector and a compass, the whole point is that the compass will work if your device has an appropriate sensor, and if there is a sensor, then the compass itself is installed by default, well The metal detector works very poorly and only reacts to ferrous metal, copper, aluminum, etc. it does not detect. The fourth set consists of a noise meter and a vibration meter, the functions work fine and have quite a lot of functions. The fifth shelf with tools contains a magnifying glass with decent magnification, a mirror and a convenient flashlight, which can be operated either from a flash or simply from the screen; there is also a convenient widget for the flashlight on the main desktop.

Well, the last section received a functional unit converter, it is divided into four tabs, where various units for conversion are collected: length, area, weight, volume, temperature, time, speed, shoe size, pressure, force, power, angle, culinary measurements and calculation fuel. Overall, the program is very useful, almost all functions work correctly, but some tools require special sensors in your mobile device to work.

Today I want to talk about one very interesting program, the analogues of which I have not seen on any device. This is the Smart Tools toolkit program. So why is this program interesting? Smart Tools allows you to use a large number of different tools that may be needed at the most unexpected moment. This includes a noise meter, level, and range finder. But let's talk about everything in order. What functions do Smart Tools have?

Length and Angle Smart Tools

Smart Tools line

This is a regular line. Although not so large (8cm), but with its help, you can measure any detail at any time. At the same time, you can draw two guides to the corners of the object you need to find out its exact length and width.

Smart Tools Protractor, Protractor II and Protractor III

Why are there several goniometers in Smart Tools? They are all designed for different needs.

A simple Smart Tools protractor is designed to measure the angle of an object placed on the screen. This is a regular protractor that has one guide. By placing an object on the screen of your mobile device, you can place a guide to measure its angle.

Protractor II is a protractor with a pendulum. What does it mean? This protractor has a pendulum that shows the deviation of the screen from its centering. This protractor also has the ability to control one guide for measuring the angle of an object.

The Protractor III is a very useful tool. He uses a camera in his work that has one constant guide and a controlled guide. For example, you need to measure the angle of inclination of a mountain, an object, a suspension for speakers or a TV, etc. You turn on the third protractor and the camera with a transparent protractor turns on. Simply put, thanks to the camera, you see everything that it sees. The constant guide is located in the center of the protractor. You can “apply” this straight line to one of the sides of the object that we want to measure, and the pendulum will show us the deviation, and with a controlled guide you can measure the angle relative to another object.

Smart Tools Level

This is the real level used to measure the evenness of the surface. has several options, flat - for flat objects, and on the edge - for ordinary ones.

In the first option, you place the phone on the back cover, after which the ball, depending on the surface, either remains in the center, which indicates the evenness of the surface, or deviates within the circle.

In the second case, you place the phone on its edge, and measure the evenness of a regular surface, like a regular level.

Thread pitch Smart Tools

Here you can attach the screw to the screen and, depending on its spiral, find out the thread pitch. It may come in handy if you run out of screws and don’t know which ones you used before. For example, this applies to me; I don’t bother my head with such things, since they are needed very rarely.

Distance Smart Tools

In my opinion, this is one of the most useful tools in Smart Tools. With this tool and camera, you can measure the distance, height, width and quadrature of an object.

You set the height at which the phone is located, and direct the focusing crosshair to the lower corner of the object or wall, the distance to which you need to measure, and the phone, thanks to the focal length and the phone’s sensors, converts all this into length. You can then repeat this with the second corner or object, after which Smart Tools will show you the quadrature. If, after length, you focus on the top of the object, Smart Tools will give you the height of the object.

Smart Tools Light

There are two tools here - a flashlight and a magnifying glass.

If everything is clear with a flashlight, then a magnifying glass is a rather interesting tool. A magnifying glass uses a camera and magnifies objects using autofocus. A magnifying glass can be very useful for examining any small details.

Compass Smart Tools

There are two useful tools here - a compass and a metal detector.

The compass is very high quality and much more accurate than many individual compasses I have tried. In addition, it is very similar to a regular compass. There are several options for use - the compass determines magnetic north, however, it can also be set to “true” north.

A metal detector allows you to search for metal parts. As you approach metal, the scale of the metal detector changes. In addition, you can set the sensitivity at which the metal detector will react to metal, as well as vibration when very close to a metal object. With his help, I managed to find a bolt from a razor on the rug, which I dropped while disassembling it.

Sound and vibration Smart Tools

Also, two useful tools for me.

A sound level meter allows you to measure noise levels. The most interesting thing is that in Smart Tools the sound level meter operates in two modes. You can see the noise level in the form of a graph (for people who understand noise levels), and you can also choose a simple description where there will be a comparison at a particular dB level. For example, this comparison is 20dB - the rustling of leaves, the ticking of a clock.

The vibrometer allows you to measure the level of vibration, similar to a noise level meter and with the same prompts. At what vibration level what happens?

Many may doubt the capabilities of this program, but from my own experiences I was convinced that Smart Tools shows everything accurately. even measuring the length of an object. Of course, not with the accuracy of a laser rangefinder, but nevertheless quite accurate. For example, the accuracy was enough for me to calculate how much laminate I needed for a room. Of course, you initially need to use the instructions and configure the device correctly.

This rule also applies to other tools in Smart Tools. Each instrument has a large number of settings, as well as the ability to calibrate zero. This means that before using Smart Tools you need to calibrate the device against a standard. For example, many Smart Tools can be calibrated using a regular level.

Smart Tools is a useful tool that can come in handy at any time. Moreover, these tools are quite easy to use.
