Recently, friends asked me to look at the computer and, as an option, it might be necessary to reinstall Windows. And so it happened. An almost new licensed version of, naturally, Windows 7 Professional was installed. Although the computer was not a gaming one, the owner asked to install several simple games, such as Zuma and various card games. And if the first game would have to be taken from somewhere in any case, then solitaire, solitaire and the like, as far as I remembered, should have been pre-installed in the OS. But I was wrong. More precisely, not quite. Standard Windows games are present in the system, but are disabled by default. Fortunately, it is possible and quite easy to enable.

Go to the Start menu and open the Control Panel.

In the control panel, turn on the “Category” view mode, find the “Programs” section in the list and open it.

The Windows Components window opens. In it we find the “Games” item and activate either it, or by expanding the list, select only the games we need. After that, click “OK”

We are waiting for Windows to update the components.

Now open the “Start” menu again, go to the “All Programs” tab, find the “Games” folder and we can spend our money again work time for games.

In this article we will tell you how to enable standard games in Windows 7 if they have been disabled.
