• In this review I want to share with you my opinion about the AND Medical UA-777 tonometer, this tonometer is automatic. I was looking for exactly this one because I don’t know how to measure blood pressure with a mechanical tonometer.

AND Medical UA-777 is listed as Japanese, in fact, before the company actually produced tonometers in Japan, but now all tonometers of this company are manufactured in China.

On the box of the AND Medical tonometer there is a convenient table with WHO (World Health Organization) data

normal, high and hypertensive pressure

Here's a list of what's included in the kit:

At the tonometer AND Medical A very convenient bag for storing and carrying the tonometer; it also has a pocket in which you can store medications.

The cuff is wide (32-45 cm), suitable for full hands. On the cuff itself there are instructions for proper fastening.

The device has a network adapter, that is, it works from a wall outlet.

And also if you want to take it with you on the road, it can be powered by batteries that are included (4 pieces)

Now I’ll tell you in my own words how to use the tonometer AND Medical))

Measuring pressure with this device is as easy as shelling pears. Connect it to the adapter, or install batteries.

Wear the cuff as indicated in the instructions, 1-2 cm above the elbow, not too tight so that you can put 2-3 fingers under it, but not too loose.

The air injection tube should be located above the cubital fossa.

Only after all the settings do you press start, the device will begin to pump air into the cuff.

The device shows the upper and lower pressure, plus the pulse.

Another additional feature AND Medical"arrhythmia indicator". If during measurements the device detects an arrhythmia, a heart will appear on the screen (in the photo below it is in a red circle), not to be confused with the heart to the left of the pulse value.

The AND Medical tonometer also has a memory function for 90 measurements, and saves the values automatically

How to measure pressure correctly with an AND Medical tonometer?

  • For some reason, some doctors put the cuff not above the elbow joint, but directly on it, as far as I know this is not entirely correct, you need to put the cuff on 2 cm above the elbow joint.
  • When taking measurements, it is advisable to sit and relax
  • It is best to measure blood pressure on your left hand.
  • Do not measure your blood pressure immediately after eating or drinking heavily.
  • Measurements on different hands (right, left) may vary slightly.

_______________________________________________________________________________________

  • Many people complain that the device shows different pressure on both hands, or even on the same hand. It is important to take into account the fact that this tonometer is not intended for simultaneously measuring pressure multiple times. After you have measured your blood pressure, wait 10 minutes and if in doubt, measure again.

  • Do you need a blood pressure monitor every day?

If you do not have high blood pressure, then there is no urgent need for a tonometer. But I would still recommend having it at home and monitoring your health.

For example, if in good condition your pressure is 90 over 60, then with a pressure of 120 over 90, you will feel bad. I think everyone needs to know their “working” ideal pressure.

I also use a blood pressure monitor after physical activity to know my blood pressure and, most importantly, my pulse after training.

Thank you for your attention, I hope it was useful))

AND UA-777 AC tonometer is one of the most popular automatic models from the Japanese manufacturer. The device is easy to use, has a standard set of functions and is convenient.

The large display will certainly appeal to older patients. There are only 3 lines on the LCD screen. Systolic pressure readings are displayed at the top, diastolic pressure readings below. Next, you can evaluate your pulse and detect arrhythmia if the AED tonometer detects signs of it during measurements.
On the body of the device there is applied color scale WHO graphical indicator. If the blood pressure level is above or below the normal pressure limit, then you can find out about this by looking at the scale. The UA-777 AC tonometer is Russified, and all the icons that appear will be understandable even to those who are far from medicine.

Pay attention to the symbols that are displayed on the screen. A flashing heart means a pulse has been found. The Arrhythmia indicator appears when a disturbance in the normal heart rate is detected. AND tonometer is smart device, which will inform the patient that the measurements were taken incorrectly. If the cuff is not tightly secured or the person moves, an error signal will be displayed on the screen.
