The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are a bit like the iPhone X with a bit of the previous generation iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s Plus. General design, but in iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus back cover from glass. Unlike the iPhone X, there is still a Touch ID Home button at the top and bottom of the display and thick bezels. Introducing iPhone 8 photos, and which color should you choose? Find out more below!

Available in three colors: silver, space gray and the new gold color. iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus feature the toughest glass in a smartphone, with reinforced steel and aluminum construction that's IP67 water and dust resistant. Improved stereo speakers in the device are now up to 25% louder with deeper bass.

The iPhone 8 still has a 4.7-inch display, while the iPhone 8 Plus has a larger 5.5-inch display. Both displays have been updated with True Tone support designed to adapt color temperature and intensity to the ambient light in the room for a more natural, screen-like effect.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus feature a beautiful glass back design with the toughest glass in a smartphone. The glass finish is made using a seven-layer color process for precise shade and opacity, delivering rich depth of color with an aerospace-grade colored aluminum panel and is water and dust resistant.

The new Gold variant combines the previous Gold and Rose Gold versions. And it's great.

However, thanks to the glass, the golden color is sometimes distorted. And from some points of view it looks more like a copper color than gold. It's certainly closer to last year's Rose Gold version than the classic gold (it's more champagne/rose colored than the classic yellow gold).

If you want to stand out from the crowd or if you want a luxurious color for your smartphone, Gold is the best option.

When it comes to durability and scratch resistance, the Gold color will fall somewhere between Space Gray and Gold. It won't hide scratches as well as Silver, but they also won't be as obvious as the Space Gray iPhone 8.

We present to you iPhone 8 photos, Space Gray:

Black color looks elegant and attractive, suitable for those who love black or those who do not like other colors. And this is the only option if you want a black front housing. If you are going to watch a lot of movies or YouTube videos on your iPhone, Space Gray is the best option for you as it will make the videos more immersive. Although it's not as dark as the matte black option we saw last year. But it still looks great.

We present to you iPhone 8 photo, silver:

It comes with a white front body and it will suit everyone. Silver will do its best to hide scratches and fingerprints. Because of the white front. The Silver iPhone will not be suitable for watching movies, it will be suitable if you are going to spend time reading articles or books on your iPhone. Since most websites have White background, a white border will be less distracting and the pages will look wider and more expansive.

If you have already decided on the model you want to buy, and this could be the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 PLUS, then it’s time to talk about colors.

I did not add this topic in comparisons, because this point is worth a separate article. You always have to think for a long time about what color device to choose.

There will be a little discussion and I think they can help you:

What colors are there for iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 PLUS?

Unlike previous years, this time Apple decided not to be as generous with the colors of the new iPhones as in previous years.

iPhone 8 and 8 PLUS received only three colors and they are called: Space Gray, Gold and Silver. A very standard set, but very, very unusual to see such a small selection.

I think you will be interested in seeing all the options at once and here are photos of all the colors:
iPhone 8

iPhone 8 Plus

It is in these colors that you will see people with new iPhones. We’ve become familiar with the overall picture and it’s time to move on to the main part.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 PLUS - which color to choose?

Of course, everyone has their own taste and everyone sees something beautiful in what the other does not see. This will be partly my opinion and partly statistics.

Last year was quite difficult on this issue, because there were matte, glossy and regular models. This time, we received three options in a glass case.

It would seem that there are only three options, but choosing a color for yourself is more difficult than it seemed. However, this year we have the following popularity rating:

  • GOLD;
  • SILVER;
  • BLACK.

You may not agree with me on this, but now I will explain my point of view in detail. After all, there is always a logical explanation for absolutely everything.

Let's take Gold. The most spectacular and unusual iPhone 8/8 PLUS this time is Gold. Thanks to the glass, there are some shimmer issues.

It’s also worth noting that this is a happy medium between last year’s Gold and Rose Gold. The color is very delicate and most importantly, it will suit absolutely anyone.

In life he looks simply stunning. If you don’t believe me, then just go to the nearest Apple equipment store and see for yourself.

Let's take Silver. Also quite non-standard this time was Silver, which was always behind. The glass case changed this position simply instantly.

If you describe it in words, it is probably more of a white color. It all depends on where exactly you are. In some conditions it will be more silver, in others it will be more white.

Such properties give us the opportunity to experience completely new emotions from iPhones. So if you want to have something unique, then this time the Silver color is included in this list.

Take Space Gray. If last year the emphasis was on black, then this time it turned out to be something very, very incomprehensible.

It feels like the phone was simply bleached by the sun and it turns out to be a very faded gray color. First impressions are very mixed.

But, as before, there will always be fans who prefer this option. But for now, the situation is exactly this way.

With the last sentence in this part I want to say only one thing - let’s go to the store and compare devices live. Photos on the Internet and a device in reality are two completely different things.

You should not order blindly if you have not become familiar with the gadget before. Let’s not be lazy, get your butt off the couch and go try out new devices from Apple.

Think about the fact that this is the device you will see most of the time every day. And it doesn’t matter whether it’s morning or any other time of the day.

What color iPhone 8/8 PLUS should a girl choose?

If you are choosing an iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 PLUS as a gift for your girlfriend or wife, then here are a couple of tips for you when choosing.

To be honest, last years had a pronounced Rose Gold color, which was very obviously bought by girls for the most part. Although I have also met guys with such iPhones on the street more than once.

The situation with general choice hasn't changed at all:

  1. GOLD;
  2. SILVER;
  3. BLACK.

Gold and silver, the female sex has always loved and will love. First of all, they are very cute and of course are associated with precious metals.

If the first two colors will certainly be a win-win, then with Space Gray it is already more difficult, because it is very, very rare to meet a girl with a black iPhone.

Red and juicy iPhones have arrived! Apple gave a small spring update, showed a red Folio case for the iPhone X, and at the same time showed the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus in red. A video about new smartphones was released on the channel, watch and discuss which phone you like best.

Do iPhone review in a new color on the website? I think that there is no point, because the characteristics are exactly the same, the price is the same, and all the differences are noticeable at first glance.

Why are there so few bright colors?

So let's talk about color. I love colorful things, I also respect phones, but unfortunately, manufacturers rarely produce anything bright and colorful. And why? Because journalists are happy to take bright equipment for reviews, but buyers, on the contrary, choose something universal, in calm colors. Grey, silver and, of course, black are held in high esteem. That’s the point of spending money on “extra” modifications.

Let me remind you that at the end of last year Apple showed the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus in three colors. Moreover, this time the smartphones received glass cases - they play beautifully under the light, so they look different, you can’t confuse them with the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Remark: if you carry a smartphone in a case, only a very attentive citizen will notice the difference.

Personally, I liked the girly version the most in the new line - gold looks gentle and beautiful, the option was a great success. Although Apple previously offered a universal golden option - in principle, both men and women chose it. But a soft pink, cream iPhone in a man’s hands is already a kind of fantasy, definitely a woman’s decision.

What about Space Gray? Gray space, in my opinion, has been spoiled. It is no longer as beautiful as it used to be, like the iPhone SE or iPhone 6s Plus, it had a more interesting shade.

iPhone 8 Plus, matte 7 Plus and glossy 7 Plus

The third option is silver color. It didn’t evoke any feelings at all, neither joy nor disappointment, it didn’t hook me at all. And you know, this is strange, because Apple probably tested it, checked what people think about colors, what shade to choose, and then delight customers in stores.

Personal choice

In short, the new colors of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus upset me, I was waiting for something more interesting, continuing to use my iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black without cover. Yes, it’s already over a year old, it’s covered in scratches, but I still really like it, it has a nice smooth gloss. It is somewhat similar to a large polished stone, I tried walking with 8 Plus - it didn’t feel the same at all, I came back.

I bought the 7 Plus only because last year, when I saw the iPhone 7 in red, I realized that it was not quite the red color I had dreamed of. In general, I love orange, but Apple only makes watch straps and iPhone cases in this shade, without the risk of producing smartphones in such a bright color.

Unusual seven

We still have the red iPhone, it became the hero of the video, they “transplanted” it with a black front from another iPhone, it was such an unusual phone, a kind of blogger exclusive.

And then, bam, an iPhone 8 in red arrived. First, news came out about him, then the handsome man came to our studio. Let's open the box!

Red-black

In the video about the red iPhone 8, Valentin accurately noticed that the advertising video is so provocative that the subtext does not fit in with thoughts about the prevention of HIV infection. If you didn’t know, let me remind you that the Product Red series exists not only for beauty, but also to help sick people. Apple donates money to the fund from every device sold, so when you buy yourself such a smartphone or case, you are doing a good deed.

But let's get back to color. Damn, this is not what I wanted again. Yes, the body plays with colors, everything greatly depends on the lighting, the color changes, it is either brown or dark red, but at the same time it is not red enough on my shade scale.

I just want a red iPhone, as bright as a Ferrari, why can't Apple make it red? As a Smart Cover or a strap for Apple Watch, they know how to select shades for accessories!

The black and red iPhone 8 looks more aggressive than the white and red version of last year. In my opinion, it has become better, but this is a matter of taste.

Here's another idea for Apple: make phones with colorful elements. For example, highlight the lens on a black phone with a red insert, or make a black body, but with a red apple. Although if you think about it, it’s already somehow Chinese.

The dimensions haven't changed a bit, the weight also remains the same.

By the way, from some angles the body looks brighter. But in real life it is still a little dark, I would like to lighten it a couple of tones, it lacks the magic brush of Photoshop. Maybe Apple wanted to convey the association with blood? Not a beautiful, joyful color, but on the contrary, alarming and in some ways even dangerous.

The big question for me is why Apple is playing with colors like this. Multi-colored devices account for a relatively small share of sales due to conservative buyers, but you can please those who are ready to buy a juicy red iPhone. But not at this time. Let's see what happens next year.

The official prices are as follows. iPhone 8 from 56,990 rubles, iPhone 8 Plus costs from 64,990 rubles.

For the smartphone provided for testing Apple iPhone 8 Product Red thanks to the friendliest gadget store

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are similar to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, but the new models have a glass body. The glass back should be so durable that you may not even need a case. Or you could skip the case because you want to show off your new glass-backed iPhone 8 to everyone.

Perhaps you can't decide which color to choose? This model is sold in only three versions: Gray space, Silver And Gold. Colors “Black onyx” and “ Pink gold” was removed.

After 5 years, the iPhone has a glass case again. And this time its quality is much better. Apple says it's the toughest glass on any smartphone, so it shouldn't break as easily as the iPhone 4 did. What about scratches? We don't know yet. Apple says it used as many as seven layers of material to add color to the glass panel. This way, the silver and gold colors will not fade over the years.

Space Gray

This color is a classic. If you don't like attention, choose Space Gray. If you're going to be carrying your phone in a case anyway, or you don't want people to notice that you have the new iPhone 8, this is the color option you should choose.

And this is the only option with a black front panel. If you are going to watch a lot of movies or YouTube videos on your phone, gray space is the best option because videos will look better with black borders. The Space Gray on the iPhone 8 is somewhere between the Space Gray on the iPhone 6 and the Black on the iPhone 7. It's not as dark as last year's black, but not as light as the previous version of Space Gray.

All new models have a glass body, so most likely they will all get scratched. It's just a matter of time. But due to the fact that the Space Gray variant is black on the front, scratches on it will be more noticeable than on the Silver and Gold variants.

And if you look at it under direct rays of light, you will see every print and every speck. But you don't have to worry about your phone getting dirty.

Silver

The silver option will be the most popular. It has a white front and will go with anything. If you plan to change cases often, Silver is your option as the white frames with a silver ring around the home button will look good with any case.

The Silver color is similar to the white version of the iPhone 4s. It wasn't pure white. The white color on the iPhone 4s faded over time. But 5 years have passed and we hope Apple has solved this problem.

On the Silver variant, scratches and fingerprints will be less noticeable. Because of the white front, watching the video will not be so convenient, but reading on it will be just fine. Due to the fact that most websites have a white background, a white border will be less distracting from the pages and just look better.

Gold

The new “Golden” option can be called a combination previous version“Gold” and “Rose Gold”. And he's wonderful.

New items from Apple- this is an endless topic for discussion and comparison. What has changed and what's new in the iPhone 8? In addition to the chipset with additional multiple processor cores and the first ever GPU Apple's all-glass body, slightly upgraded camera, there's absolutely nothing that makes the iPhone 8 so special compared to its predecessor.

So, it comes with an all-glass design, a powerful chip (chipset), an updated camera and wireless charging. True Tone display first appeared on iPad Pro, double the base storage and Bluetooth 5 support are welcome additions.

H. 264 4K videos have a bitrate of about 46 Mbps, but audio is recorded in mono at 96Kbps in AAC format. Yes, Apple may be the pioneer of 4K video, but it has been stuck with mono audio recording for the past ten years. The camera interface doesn't offer much other than flash settings. general review

The iPhone 8 looks similar to its predecessor, but fits more comfortably in the hand. There is nothing new in the package:

  • Charger;
  • USB cable;
  • headphones;
  • key clip for installing a SIM card in a retractable tray.

The iPhone 8 is equipped with a non-removable 1821 mAh Li-Po battery, which is 7 smaller than the iPhone 7. But there is a power-saving Apple A11 Bionic chip, which, combined with the optimized iOS 11, should provide the same battery life as before.

The phone doesn't have a 3.5mm audio jack, so you can use the included Lightning-to-3.5mm adapter to wired headphones from iPhone or purchase wireless headphones.

Testing of stereo speakers showed the following results:

  • voice - 71.7 dB;
  • music - 77.8 dB;
  • telephone ringing - 80.3 dB.
