For many BQ Strike smartphone owners, the question of how to remove back cover devices. Those who have never shot manually back panel, do not understand how to do this correctly and accurately, without damaging the plastic or display, and try to use various improvised means, such as scissors, credit cards or knives. But you shouldn’t do this - removing the cover on the BQ 5020 Strike is as easy as shelling pears with my own hands. Today we will tell you how to do it correctly. Also watch the training video at the end of the article.

Why do you need to open your smartphone?

The simplest and most important reason is to install a SIM card in a new, just purchased gadget, as well as installing or replacing an SD memory card, the presence of which is provided in almost every Strike phone BQs. Micro-SD card allows you to expand the capacity internal memory another 128 GB, which is undoubtedly a plus.

Many smartphone owners reboot a frozen device by removing and reinserting the gadget's battery. The user may also need to open the cover to replace an outdated or non-functioning battery with a new one. Moreover, if you started do-it-yourself repair or replacing parts in a gadget, you won’t be able to get to the inside of the phone without removing the back panel.

So let's take a look detailed algorithm actions with which you can open the BQ phone and see what is inside it.

Algorithm of actions

First, inspect your smartphone. At its upper end, to the right of the micro-USB connector, you will see a small recess, as if created so that the cover can be pryed off. Gently insert your nail into this notch and slide it to the left, going over the part where plastic case fits tightly to the glass of the smartphone display. If you are unable to do this, while moving along the body with your free hand, lightly squeeze it on the sides so that the plastic bends and makes it possible to open the lid. Next, carefully run your fingernail along the entire perimeter of the smartphone several times, thereby opening the cover of the device. The plastic panel may crack slightly when opening, and there is no need to worry - this is normal. Open the lid of the BQs 5020 Strike once, and you will easily do this operation again and again in the future.

How to close the lid back

It's even simpler here - you don't even need your nails. Take your smartphone and place it in a plastic case. Make sure that all elements, such as buttons and the camera, line up with the slots on the cover. Lightly press the phone against the body and walk around its entire perimeter in this way. You will hear characteristic clicks. Ready! Now you know how to open the cover of a BQ smartphone without damaging the case and screen. If something is not clear, watch the special training video.

Affordable price and Android 6.0 are the main reasons I chose this smartphone. The rest of the specs met my basic requirements: 5-inch screen with HD resolution, 1 gigabyte random access memory and a 13 MP camera.

Let me start with the fact that there are BQ phones from the Spanish company BQ and the Russian company BQ Mobile. As a result, confusion arises. Even in many large catalogs these phones are not separated, falling into one category as one brand.

BQ Strike (BQS-5020) is a smartphone from a Russian company. In Minsk it cost me 204 rubles ($102), while in Russia it costs only 5,490 rubles ($86). For this money the offer is very interesting.

Country of origin: China.

The kit includes: charging block, USB cable, vacuum headphones, protective film (already pasted on the screen), Russian user manual and original warranty card. On charging block The charging current is 0.15 amperes, which is surprisingly low. In fact, the tester shows 0.77 amperes. It was unexpected to see included budget phone nice looking vacuum headphones. Even the sound quality was at a good level. They look decent, there is no shame in leaving the house with them.

The protective film already on the screen is also good. After all, you can successfully stick it on yourself forever.

Appearance

The first thing I noticed when I took the phone out of the box was how bulky it was. After my compact Phicomm Passion P660 this is very noticeable. In fact, this is true: the phone weighs 174 grams and its thickness is 1 cm. The length and width of the campus: 145 and 73 mm (calipers confirmed these dimensions). All this is quite normal for a budget device. Once you get used to it, it is quite convenient to use.

Many people note, like me, that it looks great. In this regard, it “does” many budget smartphones.

The official website lists metal as the material. In fact, they are lying. More precisely, they don’t say enough. Rear end The removable panel is indeed completely metal, except for two small plastic inserts at the top and bottom. The sides, top and bottom ends of this panel are also plastic painted to look like metal. That is, a metal fox is glued to the removable plastic panel, as can be seen in the photo.

The assembly is good. But there are some unpleasant little things. The lid, when pressed firmly in the middle, is pressed through and a quiet creak is heard. There is a gap between the protective glass and the body where grains of sand and other dirt get in, and cleaning them out is problematic. I don’t know how much this was necessary engineering solution in the design of the phone, but the aesthetic appearance, with prolonged use, will ruin it. For clarity, I inserted paper into this gap.

Below the screen are three silver touch buttons. They are not illuminated. The user manual states that there is a "Menu" key on the right. However, on the desktop or in any application, it does not bring up a menu, but always opens a list of recent applications (whether you hold it down or simply press it). Central key: “Home”. Left: "Return".

When a message or call is missed, the green indicator flashes to the right of the speaker. When the charger is connected, the red indicator lights up, changing to green when fully charged.

The event indicator can be configured: Settings - Screen - Notifications. You can enable or disable notifications for:

1. Missed calls and messages (green indicator);
2. Application notifications (green indicator);
3. Low battery (red indicator);
4. Phone charging (red indicator);
5. Charging is complete (red indicator).

Screen

It is indicated that this is an IPS matrix, which is better than regular TFT. Although, I didn't notice the difference. I can't tell if it's glass or plastic. There is no information on this matter. There is an air gap - this causes loss of color when viewed at angles and glare in the sun.

The screen is bright and the colors are rich. But the black color is a little overexposed (not quite black). If you look at sharp angles, there is a slight distortion of color, the brightness of the picture drops, but good visibility of what is on the screen is maintained. Yes, no one looks at the screen at an acute angle when using a smartphone.

If you go outside on a sunny day, it is difficult to use it in direct sunlight - it is difficult to see anything on the screen. You will have to block the screen from the sun's rays with your hand.

The sensor recognizes two simultaneous touches - more is needed. I never noticed that a third touch was needed. But his sensitivity is not high. The sensor will not work on a very light touch. In dynamic games, such sensitivity interferes with control, but in normal use of the phone it does not matter.

As I already wrote, a protective film is pasted. It is easily soiled and easily collects fingerprints that are not erased with one movement, as with an oleophobic coating. I can assume that without it, the screen will have less glare in the sun, and the sensor may be more responsive, but I didn’t remove it, at least at first.

Despite the above disadvantages, for this price category the screen is good.

There is MiraVision technology from MediaTek, which allows you to fine-tune the colors of the screen. Settings - Screen - MiraVision. The default mode is Standard, but you can choose Vivid mode (colors will become brighter) or Custom mode. IN user mode You can manually adjust many parameters: contrast, saturation, brightness, sharpness and color temperature.

Android 6.0 and applications

There are many advertising apps and games. Precisely, they are not on the phone, but only shortcuts (icons) on the desktop, when clicked on, a link to download from Play Store. Among them are links to applications: ICQ, Lamoda, Forex Club, Air tickets Svyaznoy Travel, Search for tours, News for you, Yula - advertisements nearby, Abstracts, Yandex Market. Links to games: Mobile Strike, Ocean Blitz, Dragon Soul, Vikings War of Clans, Juggernaut Wars, Heroes of Might and Magic. They are easily removed, which is what I did right away.

There are two browsers: Yandex Browser and Chrome. Yandex Browser can be removed, but Chrome is the default browser and cannot be removed.

Performance

Performance tests have never mattered to me, but I’ll still share the result. IN AnTuTu Benchmark The BQ Strike smartphone scored 18,919 points. Touch screen recognizes 2 simultaneous touches.

There are no problems with performance in BQ Strike. 1 gigabyte of RAM and MediaTek processor MT6580 runs Android 6.0 as needed. GUI does not slow down, on startup simple applications(calendar, contacts, gallery) takes no more than a second, like most smartphones with similar filling. The demanding game N.O.V.A 3 runs without lag. But as noted above, the sensor is not very responsive, which spoils the clarity of control and is not convenient to play.

Connection

There are two separate slots for SIM cards: micro-SIM and a full-size slot (for a large card). There is a separate slot for a memory card. Considering that many people are now making a combined slot, three separate slots can be considered one of the advantages of this phone. They are located under the lid. In order to install SIM cards, you need to remove the battery.

Both SIM cards work on 3G networks.

The audibility of the interlocutor is good, the sound in the speakers is clear. There were no problems with the network.

I liked that if a second SIM card is not inserted, then only one SIM card icon is shown at the top. Typically, phones show a second crossed out SIM card icon that cannot be removed. There is no such thing here.

In the settings you can change the name of the SIM card and the color of the icon displayed in contacts. You can choose which one to use for the Internet, which one to choose for a call (or always ask which of the two to make a call with).

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi work correctly.

Satellite navigation

MAPS.ME navigation app, with Internet and tower location detection disabled mobile networks, could not determine the position for several minutes. But the GPS Test application found a sufficient number of satellites to determine the coordinates in one and a half minutes. After that, the location was determined in MAPS.ME in a matter of seconds.

The AndroiTS GPS Test application did not find any Russian satellites (checked twice on different days). Accordingly, either BQ Strike does not support GLONASS, or there are glitches in the GLONASS navigation system.

Camera

As you know, the number of megapixels for a camera is not an indicator, but the 13-megapixel camera in BQ Strike unexpectedly pleased. Not many hundred dollar smartphones photograph so well. On a sunny day, the photos turn out excellent; on a cloudy day, the quality is also quite good. You can evaluate the camera in the pictures. All of them were taken in normal shooting mode, without any settings.

In March, BQ released three new smartphones in the Strike series, all of which received increased battery capacity, providing an advantage in the form of time battery life. Let's start getting acquainted with the older model BQ BQ-5059 Strike Power with 5000 mAh battery. The remaining characteristics are also well balanced considering its price. We will also review the other two, BQ-5057 and BQ-5058, in the coming days. Since this series, last summer we already studied the BQ BQS-5020 Strike in detail.

In the near future it will appear in Russian stores with a recommended price of 6,500 rubles.

Knowing how to remove the cover from a phone can be useful especially when you need to change a SIM card, insert a memory card, change the battery if it is damaged or purchase a new one, etc.

The principle of removing the cover on mobile devices ah, about the same.

Remove the cover

Whatever the reason, removing the back cover is a process that every mobile device user needs to be able to perform:

  1. To get started, pick up your phone. Now you need to turn it face down to see the back panel of the device. The whole process will take very little time, but you need to remove the cover with both hands.
  2. Turn the phone upside down so that the bottom mobile phone(where the microphone is located) was at the top, and the top one (where the speaker is, which we put to the ear) was at the bottom.
  3. Now use both thumbs of your left and right hands to press down on the latch on the lid. Usually it is located under the camera, but if there is no camera, then at the top of the cover, or it will be indicated by relief elements. Next, apply pressure and move the lid away from you.

If the phone is new, then the cover will open with great effort, but over time this process It will become easier and easier to do.

Additionally, some mobile device covers are secured with screws, so all screws must be removed to remove the cover.

Xiaomi phones are deservedly being talked about good feedback. In the production of any original phone Xiaomi uses reliable components, which guarantees high quality products. But any equipment breaks down over time and requires repair. Therefore, there may be a need for disassembly telephone sets. Of course, it is ideal that disassembly and subsequent repairs be carried out by specialists. This guarantees the quality of work and will allow you to have no doubt about the final result. But if you want to save on paying for their services, then you can learn how to remove the back cover on a Xiaomi Redmi phone or another model yourself.

We offer you a small instruction on how to open the back cover on Xiaomi phone Redmi (including models 3 and 4), Mi Max, etc. Since almost all phones have the same design, this guide can be used for most mobile gadgets.

Sequencing

  1. First of all, we take out the SIM card tray. If you leave it in its original position inside the case, it will interfere when removing the cover.
  2. Direct disassembly starts with the procedure of opening the latches around the perimeter of the gadget. Opening the back cover is not so easy - you need to put in a lot of effort to cope with the task. But this must be done extremely carefully. The best and safest way to open the device is with a special spatula for working with phones. And certainly, in no case should you use sharp objects that can cause scratches when working with the back cover. You need to start opening the latches from one corner of the phone, gradually moving to the other.

  1. When the latches give in, slowly and carefully remove the back cover Xiaomi Redmi or Mi Max. Smoothly open the case and see a cable connecting the back surface to the touchscreen. Carefully remove the cable to disconnect the front panel.
  2. Now we have before us the “filling” of the Mi smartphone. Here we see the top panel with the installed chip, and the cameras there. The battery is located underneath them. Most often, the question of how to remove the back cover of Xiaomi Redmi or Mi Max appears when it is necessary to replace the cameras or battery. This is also relevant if the touchscreen is damaged, but without additional complex equipment you will definitely not be able to solve this problem at home.
  3. Although the insides of the smartphone are open to us, we cannot yet remove them. In addition to the cameras, we can get them if we open the seal, which can be easily pryed off with any flat object at hand.

  1. If you disassemble the phone to replace the battery or dig into the chip, you will have to work with a screwdriver. The internal elements are screwed to the lid with bolts. We unscrew them with a screwdriver, be sure to put them in a visible place so as not to lose them, and only after that we can continue disassembling them. Unscrewed bolts need to be given special attention - those that are attached from above are longer than those that are screwed from below. Therefore, put them in different places so as not to get confused.
  2. After unscrewing the bolts, open the protective panel on top, and a chip will appear in front of you. It is not recommended to make any changes to its configuration yourself.
  3. I close the back cover in the same way as I open it, but, of course, the actions are performed in reverse order. The main thing is to be careful and act carefully, and then everything will work out.

To get a more accurate idea of how to properly open a Mi Max phone and other Xiaomi models, we suggest you watch the training videos.
