For any printer to work correctly, it needs to be serviced on time. Our company offers you refilling of Xerox cartridges, as well as comprehensive maintenance of any printing devices. We can diagnose and repair the printer, as well as flash the firmware for a new device. This will ensure that the device works correctly with your software.

Cartridge types

  1. The Xerox line includes powerful high- and medium-performance laser devices. They use a cartridge consisting of two parts: print and toner. Refilling such models is not practical, since the cost is comparable to the cost of purchasing a new element. In this regard, prices for this service are not indicated in our price list.
  2. Low and sometimes medium performance models use cartridges in which both parts are combined into one. The new generation of such products is produced with chips, while the old models did not have them.

The Xerox series of budget printing devices are especially relevant today. And it’s not surprising, because the print quality of these devices is quite decent, and the consumables for them are quite affordable. The only thing that complicates the operation of the units is their maintenance. In order for the printer to start working when the ink in the cartridge is finished, the user must carry out the procedure of replacing the cartridge or refilling it. In this case, it will be necessary to replace the CHIP, which, being a kind of counter for the number of shots, will block the device, limiting the activities of your work group.

The problem of chipping can be easily dealt with in service centers, the range of services of which includes the replacement of CHIPs, selection of high-quality compatible toner and cartridge refills, as well as restoration and maintenance different models office equipment, including devices from the manufacturer Xerox. By contacting such companies, the user can be confident that the work will be carried out in accordance with top level and, as a result, clear images, extended service life of the device and consumables. It is these factors that sometimes play a significant role when the printer stops working due to the end of ink (toner powder) and the user has to decide whether to independently replace/refill the cartridge or entrust the matter to professionals.

Since a series of some device models have become widespread among the people and many users themselves have tried to correct the situation and return the printer to work by refilling the cartridge and carrying out the procedure for replacing the CHIP, we will use their example to tell you what manipulations need to be performed in such cases. Instructions for refilling Xerox laser consumables with toner (Xerox Phaser 3100MFP/3140/3010/3020/3325/6000/WC3210/3220/3250; WorkCentre 3045,7500,6015, etc.) are given below.

    1. One of the first to be produced was the Xerox Phaser 3010 printer, after which the Xerox Phaser 3020 printer appeared more advanced. The Phaser 3010 is compact and easy to use, it works compatible with the Xerox Phaser 3010/WorkCentre 3045 (cartridge - 106-02181). Replacing and refilling the 106r02181 cartridge is quite simple - just open the front cover of the device, turn the consumable tube counterclockwise to remove it. The plastic container, which plays the role of a cartridge, is black with a lid on which there is a CHIP. In order for the toner powder to be poured inside, you need to open the lid using the latches and, having cleared the tube of any remaining toner, add fresh powder. After this manipulation, the container is closed, and the CHIP is replaced with a new (compatible) one or reflashed.

The ability to flash a Xerox Phaser 3010, which uses consumable 106r02181, will be available to users of this device by contacting specialized centers or by downloading the original version of firmware compatible with the device being used. Using this service, cartridge 106r02181 will help the printer operate smoothly. 106r02181 has a resource of up to 1000 pages of printed text, which will allow you to really save money.
    2. Refilling Xerox cartridges (Phaser 3100 MFP/S, Xerox 3100 models) that do not have a toner detection system is more problematic, just like the Phaser 3020. First, by disassembling the cartridge structure, parts (photo drum, primary charging roller, squeegee) are removed one by one and cleaned from remaining toner. When the procedure is completed, the structure is assembled, after which you can proceed to the second half of the Phaser 3100 MFP/3100S, which contains the toner reservoir and other components that also require cleaning. Having removed the gear blocking the path to the lid, you need to remove the parts one by one (screw, contact plate, magnetic roller, latch, metering blade), and then clean the hopper itself of powder residues. Next in reverse order All parts are installed, and fresh powder is poured into the hopper, after which the two parts are connected into the Phaser 3100 MFP/3100S, 3100 case and inserted into the printer, which has previously been reflashed. This procedure requires special care because in the Phaser 3100 MFP the chip is in limited access and the work on its firmware is very painstaking, as evidenced by the corresponding instructions.
    3. Repeatedly replacing the Xerox Workcentre 3045 toner cartridge will also significantly reduce the cost of operating the device. Moreover, its refilling is available to every user who selects a high-quality toner and CHIP corresponding to the model of the unit. Next, having removed the Workcentre 3045 cartridge from the printer, you need to remove its cover and first replace the CHIP by disconnecting the old one and installing a new one in its place. Next, the toner powder is poured into the container, the lid is closed and the Workcentre 3045 cartridge is installed in the printer. After installing the new CHIP, the printer will not be blocked and will continue to work with the refilled cartridge.

    4. To work on Xerox Phaser 3020 and Xerox WorkCentre 3025 devices, a Xerox 106r02773 cartridge is required, which is disassembled and refilled in the same way as a device from another manufacturer - Samsung MLT-D101S. When starting to refill a Phaser 3020/WorkCentre 3025 cartridge (106r02773) for the first time, the user will have to cut off the plastic rivets on the side covers with a knife. Later, when assembling the structure, you can screw bolts in their place so that they hold the covers. Next, design 106r02773 (Xerox 3020/3025) is disassembled into two halves, each of which is gradually removed from its components. The removed parts (photo roller, primary charge roller, squeegee) are cleaned of toner residues, and the photo roller is additionally wiped with isopropane alcohol. Next, this half is assembled and disassembly begins of the second part, which contains the metering blade, the development roller and the toner hopper. After cleaning it and wiping the remaining elements, this part (Xerox 3020/3025) is assembled and finally powder is poured into the corresponding hole.

The next step is to assemble the cartridge into unified system and the CHIP is replaced.
    5. Almost the same manipulations should be used to refill a cartridge of the same manufacturer, but of a different model - Xerox Phaser 3140. Having removed the cartridge from the device, you should remove the side covers from it and, dividing it into two halves, remove each of them and thoroughly clean it. One of these parts from the Phaser 3140 will have a toner reservoir. It should be cleaned as thoroughly as possible from any remaining powder, then the parts should be collected and only at the end, fresh toner should be added. After making sure that toner does not spill out of the Phaser 3140 cartridge reservoir, you need to assemble the structure and, after wiping the body, install the Phaser 3140 into the printer.
    6. Cartridge 106R01411, 106R01412 for Xerox 3300MFP, which is a plastic container with a CHIP, is refilled using a slightly different technology due to a different configuration from previous models. First of all, for refilling a Xerox 3300MFP cartridge to be successful, you will need a high-quality compatible toner, screwdriver and funnel. Having removed the cartridge from the Xerox 3300MFP printer, you need to turn it towards you with the toner reservoir in order to unscrew the bolts on the cover on the right side, and then turn it over and remove the same one on the left side. Next, the top cover is removed from the Xerox 3300MFP design, followed by a plastic loop on the side that holds the waste toner compartment. After removing this compartment, it should be cleaned of any residue. Afterwards, the components are taken out one by one, and after cleaning they are installed in place. The second part of the Xerox 3300MFP structure is also disassembled and cleaned. After filling the compartment with new toner, you need to close the compartment and, after replacing the CHIP, install the consumable element into the printer.

    7. The instructions for the Xerox WC 3325/3315, in particular, how to refill cartridges 106R02310 and 106R0231, allow you to independently refill the consumables and continue working on the printer. Disassembly of the consumable body for the Xerox WC 3325/3315 begins by removing the side covers, which are held in place with screws. Next, the gears and other components that hold the photodrum are removed one by one. Next, the cartridge is divided into 2 halves, both are disassembled into parts, which are cleaned of toner residues and installed in their places. After assembling the half with the powder reservoir, it is refilled. Next, the CHIP is changed, which will allow you to fully use the refilled Xerox WC 3325/3315.

If we talk about what to refill the Xerox WC 3325/3315, then toner for Samsung consumables will be perfectly compatible with it.
    8. As for the Xerox WC 3210/3220, Xerox Phaser 3250 models, the cartridges used to work with them (106R01485/106R01374 - respectively) are interconnected. Each of them will require about 160 ml of toner before refilling, but different CHIPs for replacement. First, consumables are removed from Xerox WC 3210/3220, Phaser 3250 devices and disassembled. After this, the top cover is removed, thanks to which you can remove the top cover and divide the cartridge into 2 halves. Having disassembled the parts into parts and wiped each one, you need to assemble and close them, fixing the developer by pouring toner under it. Then connect the right side panels and the top cover is fixed. When assembling the WC 3210/3220, Xerox Phaser 3250 cartridge, you should pay attention to the photo shaft axis, which must fit into the groove so that the consumable fits perfectly into the printer. After refilling the cartridges, you will need to change the CHIP, which will limit the work with the refilled consumable. Also, the printer will work with the old CHIP if it is flashed. But you can also flash the Xerox WC 3210/3220 or Phaser 3250 printer itself.

Colored consumables

Among Xerox printing machines, the Xerox 6000/6015 and Xerox Phaser 7500DN color devices have become extremely popular. Having different technology work and design, but the same principle of refueling (when using cartridges of 4 colors). Refilling cartridges for Xerox 6000/6015 and Xerox Phaser 7500DN MFPs also involves replacing the CHIP, which is a rather painstaking and “dangerous” job, because by starting to disassemble the device and using refilled consumables, the user automatically loses the right to service under warranty. It is for this reason that many people prefer to use the services of professional refilling of Xerox 6000/6015 and Phaser 7500DN devices, which will not only extend the service life of printing units, but also allow full use of the MFP. Such models are refilled with toner, which was specially designed for these device models. The toner for the Xerox 6125 also works well with Xerox 6000/6015 and Phaser 7500DN.

If pale, blurry streaks appear on the printed sheet and their number increases with each new copy, this means that there is not enough toner reaching the drum. Simply put, the ink in the cartridge is running out. In this situation, you can take out the cartridge and shake it several times and insert it back. The stripes will disappear and print quality will improve, but not for long. After a certain number of copies, the stripes appear again, and then the copier stops printing completely. It's time to buy a new cartridge or refill an existing one. The second option is much less expensive compared to buying a new cartridge. To refill the cartridge, it is better to contact the service department, but you can do it yourself.

Stages of refilling the copier

  • Buy toner first. Toners from different manufacturers differ in quality and chemical composition. The brand of toner must match your copier. If you have a choice when buying a toner, buy the one that is more expensive (more guarantees for high-quality printing).
  • Please be aware that toner is a poisonous chemical powder. When working, avoid direct contact of the powder with the skin. Protect your hands with rubber gloves. A respirator or just a gauze bandage would also be a good idea to prevent breathing black dust. Cover your work area with oilcloth or old newspaper so as not to smear the surface.
  • Remove the cartridge from the machine. There are screws along the edges that hold the lid together. They need to be unscrewed and the cover separated from the main part of the cartridge.
  • There is a squeegee in the lid. This is a special cleaning blade that removes excess toner from the image drum. It must be removed and cleaned of dried waste powder.
  • There is a rubber roller in the main part of the cartridge. It should also be wiped with a dry soft cloth or cotton wool. Handle the image drum with extreme care. The ultra-sensitive film should not be touched with your fingers at all. After removing the drum, wrap it in a soft cloth.
  • At the end of the cartridge there are also screws that hold the side cover. They should be unscrewed and the cover removed.
  • Having found the plug covering the toner filling hole, carefully remove it.
  • All waste powder must be shaken out of the hopper. Try to clean all compartments thoroughly. You can use a vacuum cleaner using a thin attachment.
  • Shake the can of new toner well, open it and use a funnel to pour the new toner into the hopper.
  • Then the cartridge should be assembled in reverse order. It is very important not to miss or damage anything.

As you can see, refilling a cartridge at home is a troublesome task, especially if you do it for the first time. The design of the cartridges is quite fragile, and the refill powder is toxic and very harmful to health. Is it better to entrust this procedure to an experienced customer service worker? The price of refilling is not so high that you can do this rather dirty job at home. And if the fragile parts of the cartridge are damaged, the savings will result in unnecessary expenses for you.

Sometimes, in order to increase sales, a manufacturer (for example, the Samsung campaign) puts special chips on its products. In this case, in addition to purchasing toner, you will also have to buy a new microchip. The task becomes more difficult. Moreover, it is better to contact a specialist.
