Representatives of government authorities, leading experts in the tourism industry, as well as employees of educational and scientific organizations from Belgorod, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Kaluga, Kaliningrad, Krasnodar, Lipetsk, Makhachkala, Moscow, Pyatigorsk, Rostov-on-Don, gathered to participate in the conference in Yalta. St. Petersburg, Tula, Cheboksary and other cities of Russia.

Discussion of the new concept of federal target program « Development of domestic and inbound tourism in Russian Federation(2019-2025)"became one of the main topics of the conference. During the plenary session, Nikolai Korolev, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism, spoke about the creation of a strategic geographical framework within the framework of the concept: “The geographical framework of the Program will consist of 15 priority tourist destinations, formed depending on the existing centers of tourist attraction. In particular, one of them will consolidate the tourism potential of the most popular resort and recreational regions of Russia - the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Crimea - the destination "Black Sea Coast" - with the specialization "beach tourism with elements of health tourism."

Also within the framework of the conference, the best regional educational platforms participating in the project National System of Training and Advanced Training for Tourism Industry Specialists were awarded. 11 Russian universities were awarded for special success in training and retraining of personnel for the tourism industry: Branch of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "RGUTiS" in Makhachkala, Yeletsky State University named after I.A. Bunin, Baltic Academy of Tourism and Entrepreneurship, Moscow State Institute of Tourism Industry named after Yu.A. Senkevich, Belgorod State National Research University, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, North Caucasus Federal University, Cheboksary branch of RANEPA, Altai State University, Far Eastern Federal University, Tomsk State Pedagogical University.

“Thanks to the Nationwide System of Training and Advanced Training for Tourism Industry Specialists, we were able to reverse the situation of declining quality of personnel training,” noted Nikolai Korolev, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism. - “During the implementation of the project, more than 14,000 specialists from the Russian Federation improved their qualifications free of charge. For 2017, we plan to train 10,000 specialists in 15 educational programs.”

The conference included several educational sessions. Over the course of two days, participants studied modern tendencies state educational policy, as well as a classification system for hotels and other accommodation facilities. Based on the results of the training, all participants were issued Rosturism certificates.

Yulia Belozerova, project coordinator, in her speech will summarize the results of the system’s work in 2016 and talk about innovations for 2017, and representatives of the sites will make presentations of their experience. In addition, during the event it is planned to award the best educational platforms of the National System based on the results of 2016.

The conference topics were selected taking into account current issues development of the tourism industry in the regions of the Russian Federation and professional training in the field of tourism and hospitality. During the sections, participants will talk about trends in the education system, training personnel for the tourism sector and improving their qualifications, and classification expert Liliya Bitkulova will conduct training on the classification system for accommodation facilities.

At the end of the conference, all participants will receive certificates.
