During the year, the State University Higher School of Economics library carried out large-scale work to organize a legal and technological solution to provide our readers with access to subscription electronic information resources from outside SU-HSE. Agreements and extensions of licenses were carried out with dozens of companies that own electronic databases, and with the participation of the Directorate for information technology- purchased and debugged the necessary hardware and software.

When working with electronic resources from outside the University, restrictions apply in full licensing agreements. These vary from resource to resource and can usually be found on the relevant database websites (usually in the Terms and Conditions section) or requested from the library. Access to electronic library resources as part of a HSE subscription is provided to all users of the St. Petersburg branch library:
- from any university computer connected to local network;
- from your personal device (laptop, etc.) connected to the campus local network or via wireless network Wi-Fi;

- post materials in the public domain on the Internet, on social networks and on other sites without the permission of copyright holders and other providers of electronic library resources;
- distribute materials via e-mail or other means to persons who do not have access to the electronic library resources of the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
* “Robot programs” are programs that automatically or according to a given schedule perform any actions similar to user actions, including searching, opening or downloading materials from EDB websites.
