This model it is compact and portable, because we are talking about the Dell Inspiron 3147, and this is a netbook, but not just a netbook, but one that can transform and turn into a tablet or a tent, which is convenient for presentations. In general, there are four transformation modes. Let's take a closer look.

Design, appearance
Externally, the Dell Inspiron 3147 looks very nice. Plastic is used for the body, but the plastic is of good quality with a special polishing that looks like metal, but this is only an optical illusion. The surface of the case does not leave fingerprints, but as for scratches, they can occur if used carelessly; this point should be taken into account. The build quality is good, but it cannot be bad, because we are dealing with a transformer, and this means using the laptop more intensively than just a laptop whose lid has been opened or, at most, taken on the road. The netbook is equipped with steel hinges that allow you to rotate it 360 degrees. This model is designed for mobile use. The dimensions, by the way, are as follows: 300 × 201.5 × 21.2 mm, while the weight is 1.59 kg. The body color chosen is neutral - silver, both outside and inside, with the exception of the lacquered black border around the eleven-inch screen. In the middle of the lid there is a mirrored corporate logo of the manufacturer. The edges of the lid in the upper part and especially the lower end edge are rounded, like two rollers, which is made for convenience, to make it easier to grab with your finger to open the case, and the side edges are flat. The netbook is ready to transform into four modes: laptop, tent, easel and multimedia stand. The hinge is quite tight, so you need to use two hands to open the laptop.

Screen
The screen diagonal of this model is 11.6 inches. An IPS screen is used, which is covered with protective glass, and along the perimeter, as additional protection, there is a rubber roller, which also performs an anti-slip function when using the netbook in stand mode. Screen resolution is 1366 x 768 pixels, supports up to ten simultaneous touches. As for the quality of the picture on the screen, it’s pretty good. Clarity and proper saturation of colors, as well as natural color rendition are present, viewing angles are excellent, which is typical for of this type matrices

Hardware
The Dell Inspiron 3147 comes in two versions, but in this case we have a quad-core processor Intel Pentium N3530, clocked at 2.6 GHz, which became the “heart” of this model. Graphics integrated Intel HD Graphics. For random access memory a DDR3L module with a frequency of 1600 MHz with a capacity of 4 GB is used, placed in a SODIMM slot, but if desired, this resource can be increased to 8 GB, which is not at all difficult to do, especially for those in the know. And for data storage there is a standard HDD with a capacity of 500 GB, but again, if desired, you can replace the HDD with a solid-state and faster SSD.

Functional
The transformer has an integrated wireless module that supports Wi-Fi standards 802.11bgn and Bluetooth 4.0. There are also USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, HDMI and SD connectors. A complete arsenal for all occasions, as they say.
Autonomy is at the proper level, for example, at maximum load, the laptop is ready to last more than three hours without recharging, and in a less intensive mode up to seven hours. The capacity of the three-section battery is 43 Wh.

I'm happy with the laptop. Fully meets all the stated characteristics and my expectations. Quite capacious HDD(500Gb) for such a small size. Yes, it’s not gaming friendly and a little slow, but this is understandable both from the description and the price. And for working with the Internet and storing a large volume - quite suitable option. Everything is fine with Wi-Fi - it functions normally, does not fall off, just a narrowed range. Good touch screen sensitivity. I don’t abuse transformation, but sometimes I use it, it’s convenient that it’s there.

so stupid, not enough RAM, scratches back panel, no backlight, the screen does not feel touch well,

The power supply plug is not very reliable. Difficult to find.

Wi-fi is weak, had to be replaced
    - the laptop is convex at the bottom and does not sit level on the table
    - the plastic is soft, scratches very easily
    - the touchscreen does not work after waking up from sleep mode
    - after six months of work, the keys on the left of the keyboard stopped working, I have to use the touch screen on the screen

    USB Port Locations
    Keyboard flex
    Body soiling

    2 years ago 0

In the area of the keyboard, the plastic bends, apparently it is too thin and is not secured anywhere, obviously not critical because... The key travel is excellent.
It’s not really a disadvantage to have at least 128 SSDs instead of a 500Gb HDD, but it depends on which way you look at it
    Update:
    1) A year later, the plastic showed that it scratches and rubs very easily, but this is only an aesthetic problem.
    2) Besides this, the touchpad is not the best, sometimes it gets glitches and the mouse twitches, just enter sleep mode and exit it, everything continues to work as it should
    3) I caught glitches with pressing buttons (sometimes they were pressed only with Shift, sometimes they were pressed in Russian/English only) after switching to 10, nothing bothered me anymore

sloppy body that is easy to scratch
very weak filling from the factory
WiFi does not support the network at all
    low reliability
    no support

part of the keyboard died after six months, sometimes it slows down with the power connected, it gets scratched

The touchpad turns off very often (fixed in Windows 10)
Sometimes gestures on the touchpad stop working (happened once and for all)
    Frequently glitchy (very)
The keyboard flexes and is not backlit
    Scratched very badly
The charging cable is about to break (very loose)
Just one USB 3.0 (such a laptop of the future would need 2)
Both left USBs have stopped working (it’s time to take it to the service center (and as soon as possible)
Right now it's price is too high
Sometimes Wi-Fi stops working (very rarely) (it says that the network is without Internet access, but on other devices everything works; turning Wi-Fi off and on helps)
No Microsoft Office. There's not even a Word Starter. (The Internet can help you)
Search and Start menu often won't open in Windows 10
Windows 10 has become permanently disabled

    2 years ago 0

The case is easily soiled and requires careful handling - not a problem for me. I didn’t plan to carry nuts with me and crack them, so these are more nitpicking than shortcomings. Also, I didn’t need Dell branded software, so I removed it.

This 11-inch laptop has touch screen positioned by the manufacturer as portable and multifunction device based on Intel processor and operating system Windows 8.1. In this review I will talk about this model in more detail.

This 11-inch laptop with a touch screen is positioned by the manufacturer as a portable and multifunctional device based on an Intel processor and operating system Windows systems 8.1. In this review I will talk about this model in more detail.

Design and ergonomics

The device looks simply amazing. It immediately becomes clear that all the details of the laptop are 100% worked out. Almost the entire body is made of practical gray plastic with a rough texture.

The designers were able to come up with a design in which both straight lines and rounded edges would look harmonious. Well, most interesting feature here are the hinges, which, in essence, make this laptop a transformer with three use scenarios.

You can work both in the usual mode and in two positions of the stand, as well as in tablet mode.

If we look at the design in more detail, then everything is implemented according to the classical scheme.

The manufacturer's logo is visible on the lid; the back panel has rubberized feet for stable operation. various surfaces, and on the side faces there are all available connectors, control keys and built-in speaker grilles. By the way, they are loud enough for listening to music and watching videos at home. The manufacturer also provided a hole for attaching a security lock. How can you expose such a beautiful laptop to the risk of being stolen?!

The working surface here is quite practical - it fits your wrists perfectly, and the large touchpad improves the level of comfort while working.

The island-type keyboard features virtually silent and smooth key travel.

The touch display has received a protective coating.

Above the screen you can see a webcam lens with an operation indicator and a light sensor.

There is a mechanical Home key at the bottom.

Weighing 1.39 kg, the thickness of the device is slightly more than 2 cm. Why not an ultrabook?

Display

The 11-inch touch display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Color rendition is natural, and viewing angles are at a good level.

But there are also moments that I didn’t like. This is a fairly wide frame and a glossy finish, which, together with the light source behind it, can drive even the most balanced person crazy.

Performance

Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) features a quad-core Intel processor Pentium N3530 with a frequency of 2.16 GHz (in Turbo mode Boost frequency can reach 2.58 GHz), 2 MB cache and built-in graphics adapter Intel HD Graphics. The laptop also received 4 GB of DDR3L RAM and a 500 GB hard drive.

This configuration will cope with the most common tasks, such as working with a suite of Microsoft office applications, Internet surfing, playing video in high resolution etc. In the case of launching games, I can say that most popular online games, taking into account the selection of optimal settings, will work here without any complaints.

Software

The tested model runs the Windows 8.1 operating system with a standard set of services and applications. Here I would like to talk about good software optimization, a smooth and thoughtful interface.

Communications

The laptop has wireless Wi-Fi modules 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. They work flawlessly. There is an HDMI socket to output images to an additional display, a multi-format card reader is provided for reading memory cards, and there are two for connecting various peripherals and external drives. USB port 2.0 and one USB 3.0 connector. The manufacturer did not forget about the combined 3.5 mm audio output for connecting a headset.

Working hours

Autonomous operation of the transformer is ensured by a built-in battery with a capacity of 43 Wh. This is enough for continuous use for five hours with the wireless connections And high level brightness

In a more moderate operating scenario, it can last up to ten hours without connecting a charger.

Impression

If this transformer had been an exam for Dell, the company would have passed it with a solid A. Everything about it is good - exciting design, materials, good performance and excellent battery life. This laptop is definitely worth a look.

Dell Inspiron 11-3147 Reviews

Extended overview Dell laptop Inspiron 11 (3147)
Source: Notebook-Center.ru
Once again, we are convinced that the Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) is one of the most profitable laptops in terms of price/quality ratio with the ability to transform into a tablet. At the same time, the device received very good time battery life and a balanced configuration for undemanding tasks. Its cost of $500 is fully justified by the economical option, pleasant to the touch, plastic case, and perhaps not particularly impressive capabilities of the hardware platform, and others budget specifications like a weak camera or a less-than-ideal display. The options for transforming the device are not new, but they still allow you to turn a laptop into a tablet and back in a couple of movements. Overall, we had positive impressions of the Inspiron 3147.

Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) Review: Compact Tablet-Laptop Hybrid
Source: Hi-Tech Mail
The Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) has a good chance of becoming one of the most affordable convertible laptops on the market. Russian market. It has a flexible design that allows you to choose the optimal position for different life situations. The case materials are simple, but the assembly is good. There are no complaints about performance; the laptop performs its tasks normally as a device for simple computing tasks; if you wish, you can play something not very demanding. I would like to see better battery life results, and it’s also worth paying attention to the plastic - the body is scratched quite easily. Here you can appreciate the thoughtful design of the case, a well-tuned IPS screen, a comfortable keyboard with moisture protection, and a rich set of ports.

With its $180 Inspiron 11 3000, Dell offers a fairly complete Windows 10 experience for a very low price. We also appreciate the strong sound and long-lasting battery, but this laptop"s dim display and shallow keys prevent it from being a top budget pick. For $20 more, you can get the Lenovo Ideapad 100S, which has a more comfortable keyboard and even longer battery life.

60% Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Series review - fun, budget Windows

As far as budget laptops go, the Inspiron 11 would make a great first laptop. It feels reassuringly durable, the bold, fun design is very appealing, and I wouldn’t have any qualms about giving it to a younger user. It’s also a respectable choice for a student. The only major flaw is the screen, but this might not bother you given the price.

The $440 Inspiron 11 3000 is one of the most well-rounded budget 2-in-1s. Performance from its Pentium N3530 CPU was solid, and if you"re willing to spend more than $500, you can kit it out with an even speedier Intel Core i3 processor. Its chassis is attractive without skimping on stability; its battery life was second only to the 10-inch Acer Switch 10E; and its display was brighter and more colorful than any of the other convertibles in our summer roundup.

Dell's Inspiron 11 3000 Series 2-in-1 notebooks aren't exactly unique. Lenovo, HP, Asus, and several other companies offer convertible notebook/tablet hybrids with similar designs. But Dell’s entry into this space is a model which offers decent performance, decent battery life, and a decent price.

70% Dell Inspiron 11 series 3000 review: This Yoga-like 2-in-1 laptop delivers solid value

Even though the Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series is a better deal overall, the Lenovo Yoga 2 11’s somewhat sleeker design will likely win its share of buys. I always recommend kicking the tires in person before deciding which you want to own. If you want something faster or with greater screen resolution, shop the Pro variant of the Yoga 2, with its Core processors.

People who derive a lot of satisfaction from saving money by skipping the frills will really like the Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1 laptop. It doesn’t play serious video games very well, bit it has plenty of power for tablet-oriented games. It provides a hassle-free Windows 8.1 experience and it handles ordinary tasks just fine. It also makes a fine, if somewhat heavy on occasion, tablet.

The Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Series 2-in-1 (3147) proves that you don"t have to endure a stripped-down laptop when you only have $450 to spend. If you"re in the market for an 11.6" convertible, it"s easy to recommend the Dell Inspiron 11 unless you need the horsepower of a full Core i5 or i7 machine. The somewhat larger Dell XPS 12 and Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga would be two solid convertibles that come to mind with Intel Core CPUs and 12.5" designs. But those are typically $1,000 or more, and the Inspiron 11 is for those on tighter budgets and modest to moderate computing needs.

The Dell Inspiron 11 2-in-1 is a reasonable low-cost purchase for basic uses. It would probably meet the demands of casual users who want a 2-in-1 without paying a premium for one. The device offers decent battery life, responsive touch display, and a strong hinge. However, with the poor key quality in the keyboard and cheap overall feel would negatively affect power users.
