Version 1.0.1

User guide

© ARQA Technologies, March 2013

1.About the program

QUIK Android – a client application of the QUIK brokerage system, developed specifically for devices on the Android platform. The program allows you to exchange data with the QUIK system server via a secure connection, display the received information in the form of tables and graphs, and perform active operations. QUIK Android supports the ability to enter and remove limit, market and stop orders.

The application connects to the QUIK system server of a specific broker and broadcasts information in real time. The application can automatically establish a connection with the server if the required connection parameters are specified in the settings and the password is saved. Active operations without connecting the program to the server are not provided.

1.1Program installation

To get started with QUIK Android do the following:

  1. Install the QUIK Android application from the store on your device Google applications Play.

  2. Make sure that your broker has granted you the rights to use the QUIK Android workplace.

  3. Download the public and private keys.

  4. Configure connection settings.

1.1.1 Procedure

  1. Prepare the public (pubring.txk) and secret (secring.txk) keys from the QUIK workstation for copying to the device.

  • Note: If you do not have a QUIK Workplace, create access keys in the operating room Windows system using the keygen.exe program included in the kit software QUIK system (available on the developer’s website: http://www.quik.ru/user/download). Then register your access keys with your broker.

  1. After that, launch the application. When you launch it for the first time, a “QUIK” folder is created on your device.

  2. Exit the application through the “Exit” item in the menu on start screen"Connection" (top left).

  3. After this, connect the device to the computer in access mode internal memory(“Connect as disk” mode or MTP (Media sync) mode).

  4. Find the “QUIK” folder on the device connected to the PC and copy the files with the QUIK server public key (pubring.txk) and client secret key (secring.txk) into it.

  • Note: If you need to replace the keys with new ones, exit the application if it is running and repeat steps 4 and 5. Step 5 implies re-copying new keys into the “QUIK” folder and replacing the existing ones.

  1. In the “QUIK” folder, place the ip.cfg file with the parameters for connecting to QUIK servers from the standard QUIK client site (if available).

  2. Relaunch the QUIK Android application. On the “Connection” start screen, make sure that the connection parameters match the server address of your broker.

  3. To add a connection with new parameters to the list, select “Add” in the screen menu (top right), fill in all fields and click the “Save” button (see description in paragraph 1.2 ).

  4. To connect, enter your username/password and click the “Login” button on the “Connection” start screen.

  5. If the connection is successful, the connection indicator at the top of the screen will turn green and you will be taken to the Market screen. If the connection attempt is unsuccessful, check your network connection (WiFi, 3G, GPRS).

1.2Connection setup

Connection parameters to the QUIK server can be configured in the following ways:

  • “Port” – broker server port number,

  • “Key” – identifier of the public key of the broker’s server.
To save the connection parameters, click the “Save” button.

  • NOTE: Parameter values for connection are reported by the serving broker. If you are using the QUIK Workstation, then these values coincide with similar parameters in the info.ini file of the QUIK Workstation.

  1. Using a file ip . cfg
Save the file ip . cfg , containing IP addresses for connecting to the QUIK server, to the device in the QUIK directory.

  • “remember password” – when this box is checked, the user’s password is saved in the program settings.
To enter the program, click the “Login” button. If the authentication data is correct, the main menu of the program will be displayed on the screen.

If the connection is lost, the program can automatically restore it.
