As for ease of use, the smartphone has no obvious shortcomings in this regard. The build quality is excellent, which can be said about any Sony devices. New Xperia SP has absolutely no play or creaks. And the size is quite appropriate; nevertheless, a screen larger than 5 inches diagonally is difficult to use with one hand, and a 4.6-inch screen is still quite convenient to operate, at least if you have a large male palm.

Screen, built-in camera

Almost all of Sony's competitors have abandoned the use of TFT technology in more or less decent models in favor of IPS, PLS, S-LCD and AMOLED. Sony has taken a different path and equips all its smartphones with screens made using TFT technology, but often with proprietary “improvements”. So it is with the Xperia SP, which is equipped with a 4.6-inch TFT matrix, 1280x720 HD resolution and Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2.

This approach showed all its weak points, which have already become traditional for Sony smartphones. If the picture quality and color gamut do not cause any complaints, then the viewing angles could be wider. Otherwise, the screen is quite good - given its size, the image density is 319 ppi. The ten-point capacitive sensor is very responsive, and the smartphone is controlled with a bang.

The front camera is only suitable for video communication - the sensor resolution is only 0.3 megapixels. But we can talk in more detail about the rear camera. It is equipped with a proprietary BSI CMOS Exmor RS sensor with a resolution of 8 megapixels. The camera traditionally has several proprietary shooting modes, including HDR mode. But the most popular mode will be the Superior Auto mode, which automatically detects the scene (portrait, landscape, macro, night photography) and allows you to select the optimal shooting settings.

Not long ago, the company announced the release of its two new products on Android based JB. What are they? Sony Xperia SP and Xperia L, and what are their main parameters? Let's consider these issues in more detail.

So, two new smartphones from Sony are the Xperia SP and Xperia L, launched on Android platform Jelly Bean, and equipped with 8 megapixel cameras High Quality, as well as eight gigabytes of built-in memory (the volume of which can be increased to 32 gigabytes) and one gigabyte of RAM. Let us remember that not long before this, another device in this line was presented – the waterproof Xperia Z.

The Sony Xperia SP device has a 4.6-inch touchscreen display with an HD resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels, while the Xperia L has a 4.3-inch FWVGA screen with 854 by 480 pixels. Both smartphones look very stylish thanks to their attractive and unobtrusive design. They are quite powerful and at the same time light in weight. The devices have compact bodies, as well as functionality that meets the basic needs of consumers. With any of these smartphones, it will be easy for the user to constantly stay in touch and competently organize their daily activities. There is also quite enough free space, as we can see.

There are ample communication opportunities for accessing the Internet by the most different ways, convenient data transfer and synchronization, decent multimedia player, powerful battery, as well as support for such a modern communication standard as 4G. The Xperia SP is powered by a powerful dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 Pro processor. As mentioned above, it supports 4G, although 3G is also no exception. As for similar Xperia specifications L, they are inferior to SP (as, in fact, in everything else). This device has a 2-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8230 processor and only supports the 3G standard.

Sony's new smartphones are created using thin, glossy aluminum and will be available in three colors: white, red and black. Their design is specially designed in such a way that the quality of the camera is enhanced and it can be loaded simultaneously with a variety of other features. This will provide the user with a completely new operating experience. mobile devices from Sony.

Xperia SP has powerful battery at 2370 mAh, while the L has a capacity of only 1750 mAh. Both devices use Sony's STAMINA mode, which extends battery life. There is support for DLNA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. The parameters of the SP model are 130.6 x 67.1 x 10 millimeters, and L – 128.7 x 65 x 9.7 millimeters. The weight of the devices is 155 and 137 grams, respectively.

At the time of release in 2013 year Sony Xperia SP LTE C5303 surprised with a number of features:

  • Strict, but at the same time original design, suggesting a luminous bezel at the bottom of the smartphone;
  • Body made using seamless casting technology using the latest composite materials;
  • HD Reality Display screen with 720p resolution;
  • New intelligent technology Mobile BRAVIA® Engine 2, responsible for ideal image quality;
  • HDR technology for impeccable quality images taken in difficult conditions;
  • STAMINA energy saving mode;
  • Dual-core asynchronous Qualcomm processor Snapdragon S4 Pro
Smartphone running at computer speed

Thanks to a processor whose cores can turn on and off independently of each other, responding to the degree of workload, the Sony Xperia SP LTE C5303 smartphone not only allows you to quickly work with several applications at the same time, but also saves battery power. Highest processor performance and 1GB random access memory make even working with web pages quick and enjoyable;

An image to admire

The creators of the Sony Xperia SP LTE C5303 have made great efforts to achieve such excellent results when displaying videos and photos. When creating the Reality Display, the experience of the developers of Bravia TVs, which were positively assessed by many users, was taken into account. High resolution progressive scan screen, high pixel density, wide viewing angle - all this turns video viewing into Sony smartphone Xperia SP LTE C5303 is a real pleasure.

There are some disadvantages, but they are very few.

The disadvantages users include is the thickness of the device, which is 10mm and, according to some, the smartphone is a bit thick. In addition, there is no USB charging option, as well as poor resolution front camera- only 0.3 MP.

Problem solved

Advantages: 1. Design! He's really good. I have long dreamed of ringing metal in Sony and finally, the dream has come true!))) I took this one and not the Xperia Z because of the metal in the case. 2. Great display. It may not be Full-HD, but in terms of quality it is not at all inferior to the same Xperia Z, with its vaunted characteristics. Marketing is doing its job. Why do you need to cram a Full-HD screen into a phone with 5 inch screen? It makes no sense and you won’t notice the difference. Pixel density is at the level of iPhone 5 - 319 ppi. It is colorful and juicy and, unlike the poisonous flowers of amoled, it gives a real color scheme and behaves perfectly in bright sun. I compared it with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, so the Japanese behaves 2 or even 3 times better in the sun. The fact that they write that the screen here sucks is complete nonsense of fans of competitors!))) Such people want to laugh in the eyes.))) Viewing angles are at a very decent level, like on any other phone they fade a little, but why look at screen at almost zero angle???? I really liked the display response. It's on par with the iPhone 5 and Nokia 920 Lumia that I had. 3. Excellent camera, especially without super mode. Produces 8 megapixels. I think with new firmware, some shortcomings with stabilization will be eliminated, but everything is OK. 4. It catches the net well. There really can be no complaints here, because... in the elevator it gives out 3-4 bars, unlike Samsung and iPhone, where the network disappears. The interlocutor can be heard perfectly, without any distortion or interruption. 4G is very good and stable! The speed is crazy! 38 Mbps! They say that it can accelerate to 100 Mbps. 5. Excellent technical content. The camera, external and voice speaker, powerful S4 processor, powerful Adreno 320 video accelerator may be slightly inferior to the Z in terms of its characteristics, but in practice, according to all kinds of tests, it is not only not inferior, but even superior to it. The battery here is a bomb.))) It really lasts for 2 days of active use. Disadvantages: There are practically none. Yes, there are small gaps, but this is a design feature, because... nothing creaks. On the black model it is practically not noticeable at all. If you compare it with the Korean Samsung C3 or Note 2, you won’t notice the difference, but if you compare it with the monolithic Iphone 5, you will feel the difference.))) Comment: Comments are unnecessary. The device is really good. The most important disadvantage that “competitors” are trying to inflate about the weak viewing angles of the screen and insufficient contrast turned out to be unconvincing for me, because I really like natural colors rather than the super-duper amoled that hurts my eyes and fades in the sun. DO NOT listen to anyone about this. I advise you to just go to the store and see for yourself the veracity of my words. I think there is no point in getting a powerful top-end quad-core phone when you can get great smartphone for relatively little money but with excellent technical characteristics, which in practice will not be inferior to competitors in almost anything, both in speed and quality of materials.
