I had to deal with installing and launching a Symbol (Motorola/Zebra) LS 2208 hand-held barcode scanner in 1C 8.2 for a client. 1. Switching the Symbol LS2208 barcode scanner to USB CDC mode

The best option is to use the “ Simple COM port emulation", but Symbol LS2208 has another operating mode, the so-called “USB CDC". It differs from “Simple emulation” in that the COM port is not simply emulated, but the PC defines the device as a separate COM device, as if we had connected a scanner via the COM port. In the system it is detected without problems and in device management it is located directly in the COM and LPT ports section, where you can also see the COM port number assigned to the scanner.
