It was not by chance that I put this program in second place.
Firstly, its most important advantage is that working with it is simple and fast (even a novice PC user can quickly figure it out and convert all of their video files).
Secondly, the program supports simply a huge variety of formats (there are dozens of them, see Fig. 5): ASF, AVI, MP4, DVD, etc. Moreover, the program has a sufficient number of templates: you can quickly select the one you need to transfer video for Android (for example) or for Web video.
And thirdly, in the Bigasoft Total Video Converter program most convenient editor(Fig. 6). You can easily and quickly trim edges, apply effects, a watermark, subtitles, etc. In Fig. 6 I easily and quickly trimmed the uneven edge in the video with a simple mouse movement (see green arrows)! Bottom line: the program is suitable for absolutely everyone - from novice users to experienced ones. There is everything necessary settings for quick video editing and conversion. The only drawback is that the program is paid. Overall I recommend it!
3. Movavi Video Converter (best for “tailoring” videos to the desired size)

A very interesting video converter. To begin with, it should be said that the program fully supports the Russian language. It is also impossible not to note the intuitive interface: even a user who does not work much with video can easily figure out “where is what and where to click”...
By the way, a trick that caught my attention: after adding a video and selecting the format (to which to convert, see Fig. 7), you can specify what output file size you need (see Fig. 8)!
For example, you have little space left on your flash drive and the file is too large - no problem, open it in Movavi and select the size you need - the converter will automatically select the desired quality and compress the file! Beauty!
In addition, we cannot fail to note the convenient video editing panel (you can trim the edges, add a watermark, change the brightness of the picture, etc.).
In Fig. 9 you can see an example of a change in brightness (the picture has become more saturated) + a watermark has been applied.
By the way, I cannot help but note that the program developers claim that the speed of their product is significantly higher than its competitors (see Fig. 10). On my own behalf, I will say that the program works quickly, but in sincerity, Fig. 10 I doubt it 100%. At least on my home PC, the compression speed is higher, but not as much as on the graph.

A very popular video file converter. I would compare it to a combine: it supports the vast majority of videos that can be found on the network. The program, by the way, supports the Russian language (after launching, you need to open the settings and select it from the list of available languages).
It is also impossible not to note the wide variety of options and settings for editing and converting videos. For example, the proposed formats into which video can be transcoded are dizzying (see Fig. 12): MKV, MOV, MPEG, AVI, WMV, RM, SWF, etc.
In addition, Xilisoft Video Converter has interesting features for editing video images (Effects button on the toolbar). In Fig. 13 shows effects that can be used to improve the original picture: for example, crop the edges, add a watermark, increase the brightness and saturation of the image, apply various effects (make the video black and white or apply a “mosaic”).

Hi all. The other day I had to convert one video into a mobile format, and after thinking for a long time which utility I would use, I decided to use it and at the same time write a post on how to use the Any Video Converter.
This converter is distributed in three versions at once, namely free, Pro version professional and ultimate. The most functional among them is Ultimate. I decided to test the free one, I don’t think there’s any need to explain why, and at the same time I installed the Pro version for myself purely for comparison.
First of all, naturally, download Any Video Converter, you can download it for free from the office. site http://www.any-video-converter.com/ru/
To start working in the program, we need to insert the desired media file that we want to encode. Here this is done very simply, by simply dragging it into the program window.
But also in Any Video Converter it is possible to add videos in batches; to do this, in the File menu, select Batch adding video files, and look for the folder or even the entire disk from which we want to add all the videos for conversion. Check the box and click OK. All video files that the program finds in the folder we select will be added for encoding.
But that’s not all, if the video we need is on YouTube, for example, then we can add it or simply upload it to ourselves. To do this, click on the button “ Add URLs", then insert the address of the link on the page of which our media file is located. As you can see, there are many options to add videos.
The video has been added, you can explore what functions Any Video Converter offers us. Let's first look at the video cutting tool (scissors). This function It will come in handy when we don’t want to encode the entire video, but only a separate part or parts of it.
We can specify the start and end points either on the timeline by entering the start and end times of our fragment, or we can also drag the slider, which is even more convenient. We can create such segments as much as we like by clicking on the object “ new segment", in the end we will have a lot of short video stories that are ready for conversion.
The next thing we can do is add various effects to the video and trim it.
Cropping is very simple, we set the size of what we want our picture to be “size of the cropped area”. We can immediately see the result on the screen. And don’t forget to click the “ apply” button.
If we decide to apply effects, which, to be honest, are very few, then we go to the “video effects” tab. As you can see, we can adjust brightness, contrast and saturation. Adjustments are made by moving the slider left or right to the desired result.
Among other effects, there are such, in my opinion, unnecessary as rotating the picture 90 degrees in all directions, as well as the effect of noise and clarity. We can immediately observe all the results of our actions in the program window.
All that remains for us to do is the most important thing, the conversion. To do this, first select the profile that suits us for 
encoding in the “Profile” tab. If you want, for example, to convert a video on an iPhone 5, then select the Apple Products profile and look for your iPhone 5. After this, the program itself will select the settings necessary for it. But if the Pro version is enough big choice ready-made templates, then the free one is quite limited in this regard. As an output, you will have to select the settings manually: set the desired screen resolution, bitrate, frame rate...
After everything has been done, you can safely begin the coding process, but keep in mind that this can take quite a lot of time. In a word, using any video converter is not that difficult, the main thing is to understand the utility. What converter do you use? It seemed faster to work, and more functional for sure.

Step 3: Adding Effects
Click on the button Add effects:
A new window will appear with 3 tabs: Video cutting, Video effects And Video Watermark. The first is used to rotate the video, mirror it, or crop it at the edges. The second is responsible for effects, and the third is for adding a watermark (text or photo).
Switch to the 2nd tab and in the column Other effects set any video filter you like. You can also change the brightness, contrast and saturation if you wish:

Step 4: Edit Video
There are situations when you need to cut out some part of the video. For this purpose, the editor provides a button Play this media. Click on it:
An editing window will appear. Click on the button Add new segment:
Now you can move the sliders that are marked in the screenshot below to cut any part of the video. Once you have decided on the start and end of the segment, click on Apply:

Step 5: Burn a disc
