Mobile phones for older users are a special and specific group of devices. They are often simplified, with large buttons and a very readable display. Some of them are touch-sensitive, others are classic, with buttons to press. Such gadgets are also equipped with special alarm functions - pressing the corresponding key allows selected people to receive a signal that the owner of the phone needs help. Below you can see the rating of the best smartphones for seniors in 2018, which are reliable and affordable.

In return, the manufacturer made the smartphone high-performance for its class and as reliable as possible. If you have not yet decided which one is better to choose, we recommend reading.

Xiaomi Mi A1

The Mi A1 model is the golden mean in the ranking of the best smartphones for seniors in 2018. The phone is not completely new, as it was developed based on the earlier Mi 5X. It also has a metal body, but has an almost pure Android OS with features to improve sound quality. In addition, it can offer mid-range components including dual camera and Snapdragon processor 625. The only disappointment is the lack of NFC, but for the Chinese this is natural. Today this smartphone is available for 12,000 rubles. We also advise you to read.

  • Processor: Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 – 8 cores at 2 GHz;

Meizu M5 Note

Meizu M5 Note is the best chinese smartphone from average price segment, which is equipped with most of the components from more old version Meizu M3 Note. The main innovations concern increased capacity, more memory and support fast charging. Appearance also changed a little for the better, and the body is also made of metal. Got into this top thanks to excellent battery and a good price - 8000 rubles. Thanks to these qualities, buyers looking at this smartphone will immediately decide which one is better to choose.

Main characteristics:

  • Processor: Helio P10 MT6755 – 4 cores at 2 GHz, 4 cores at 1.2 GHz;
  • Memory: 16 GB and 3 GB RAM;

  3. Outdated Android version;
  4. Low video quality.

Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018)

The main quality of the smartphone lies in its Infinity display, which until recently was used only in Korean expensive models. This is the cheapest phone with such a matrix, available for 11,000 rubles. However, other specifications also did not turn out to be weak, given the Snapdragon chip and 3 GB of RAM. The only thing I would like to get here is NFC module, dual camera and more capacious battery. Although the high quality of the picture and the ability to work with demanding programs compensate for this. In addition, the J6 boasts build quality and reliability.

  1. Monolithic metal body;
  2. High performance considering the price;
  3. LED flash on the front camera.
  4. Chat Over Video support.

Flaws:

  1. Large frames around the screen;
  2. Not protected from moisture or dust;
  3. Insufficient battery capacity.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A

The best smartphone turned out to be Redmi Note 5A. This is a model from the budget segment, which stands out for its very good price-quality ratio. Its “metal” body houses a 5.5-inch HD screen and decent components for this class. Although there is no fingerprint scanner, the device runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1. So the performance is ok here. With a small amount of memory, the issue can be resolved, since the microSD card slot works with flash drives up to 128 GB. On store shelves you can find a smartphone for 7,000 rubles.

Main characteristics:

  • Processor: Snapdragon 425 MSM8917 – 8 cores at 1.4 GHz;
  • Memory: 16 GB and 2 GB RAM;
  • Screen: 5.5 inches 1280x720px;
  • Battery: 3080 mAh;
  • Camera: 13 MP and 5 MP front;
  • OS version: Android 7.1 + MiUI 9.

Advantages:

  1. Solid appearance;
  2. Optimally balanced components;
  3. Good sound from the speaker;
  4. Optimized user interface.

Flaws:

  1. Lack of many functions needed today;
  2. The imitation metal case does not offer strong protection;
  3. The front camera is only suitable for video calling.

Conclusion

As you can see, manufacturers offer quite a lot of phones at an affordable price and with good functionality. Therefore find best smartphone for seniors in 2018 will not be difficult for anyone. In the search for such smartphones, build reliability and autonomy play an important role, while advanced flagship technologies do not play a special role. Models with such features are available on the market, but if you need an inexpensive and durable device, then it is better to pay attention to those proposed above.

Choosing a phone for older people big buttons and the screen must be handled carefully and carefully. It must be convenient and reliable. Manufacturers try to take into account all the wishes of their customers, and therefore they make not only modern multifunctional gadgets, but also very simple mobile phones.

Some companies have become famous only with the help of special phones for pensioners. They try to ensure reliability, safety, as well as simple and straightforward operation.

Do right choice Our rating of the best phones for seniors with large buttons and a screen, based on reviews, will help you.

Choosing a company

With a regular purchase, you must rely on the technical qualities, as well as the capabilities of the system and support for all new products. Such criteria are completely irrelevant when purchasing a smartphone for grandparents. They don't need a high price tag at all. A rational purchase is considered to be one that contains only all the essentials:

  • Large buttons and screen.
  • The model has a simple menu.
  • There are hot keys, it is always easy to call your loved ones.
  • Reliability. Such phones work for a long time and always stay connected.
  • Loud sounds. This is very important for older people who may have hearing problems.

There are several common companies that have already been time-tested. They are actively acquired and left only positive reviews. Grandma will definitely be pleased with such a purchase:

  1. NOKIA (models 1100 and 1110, 1112)
  2. Philips (model 180)
  3. Sony Ericsson (model K310)
  4. Fly (modelEzzy)

Such models are mostly inexpensive and accessible to almost everyone.

How to decide?

There are two options to consider initially. Some models can include features for seniors, such as changing the sound or font, while others are designed primarily for retirees. The first ones win if you want to give the phone to children, it remains simple and reliable and may well become the first mobile phone. However, it is better for single grandparents to prefer the second option and not think about setting it up.

There are several criteria that must be present in a good grandmother's phone:

  • Convenient and fairly large case.
  • The screen has a matte finish that helps neutralize glare.
  • Sound signals about the need to charge, sounds for keys.
  • Full translation into Russian.
  • Inability to interfere with settings. An elderly person should not get confused with their phone.
  • An additional emergency function, it dials an SMS to a loved one or makes a call instantly.

Such models must hold a charge for a very long time, for example 400 hours is the average.

Rating of the best phones with large buttons and screens of 2019. Grandma's favorite phones.

Usually modern gadgets have games, cameras, and entertainment. You can work for them, communicate with anyone in a convenient way or go online. For older people, all these details are not relevant, which is why a special phone is produced that fully meets their needs.

In order to make the right choice, it is worth considering those options that have already received many positive reviews.

This is a completely classic phone that has everything you need.

Its distinctive feature is a good battery, a fairly large screen, and excellent sound for these options.

A company like this is virtually unknown on the market, but their model for seniors deserves respect. Unfortunately, these are averages.

This model has a slightly higher price tag. However, this made it possible to integrate a camera; now older people can easily leave images of their children and grandchildren as souvenirs.

The screen is made very large, and in standby mode the new device lasts up to 59 days. This is an impressive period of time, which guarantees that grandma will always be in touch. However, the sound is not the loudest.

Such a mobile phone was not originally created for older people. It is needed by those who really value compact sizes. The tube is really no bigger than a plastic card.

However, grandparents will also love it. The screen is too small, but it is enough to see most of the information. The numbers are very large and convenient. It's not very convenient to read SMS messages on the screen.

This is a great phone for the elderly. With all the classic advantages, it is very affordable.

Additionally, there is a soc button. With just one click, she can connect with loved ones and report an emergency. It could even save a grandparent's life.

There is also an improved model 8, it already has a camera, although it costs a little more. Sometimes the suck button works spontaneously.

This is an excellent option for modern and advanced retirees.It has everything you need, plus a few extra features.

First of all, this is radio and headset support, so that you can always listen to your favorite stations. Additionally, you can turn on Bluetooth to transfer important files, favorite photos, for example.Of course, turning it on drains the battery much faster.

A must-have phone for seniors, it looks very stylish. However, it has everything you need for a grandmother's phone, including a soc button.

Many people don’t like folding phones; their cables often break.

7.

A company like this really tries to take care of the elderly as much as possible. Very often they suffer from problems with vision or hearing. That is why here you can significantly increase the sound and font.

The buttons themselves are easy to press, they have clear and large numbers. Unfortunately, the letters are practically invisible. However, such a company is at the top and produces several different models at once.

Some people believe that it is necessary to purchase the best for their loved ones.

This is true, but values and selection criteria are different. If you need to please your grandmother or grandfather with a mobile phone, then it should be the one that the elderly want.

Practicality and convenience in this case are much more important than many additional modern functions.

Among the disadvantages of every grandmother's phone, it is worth noting that it is inconvenient to write SMS on them, because a large number steals almost all the space. Also, some of them are too simple, and progressive retirees want a camera, music and games. The market is expanding and soon it will be possible to purchase a phone for any needs.

Phones with large buttons for the elderly are easy to find in online stores. The question is how to make a choice. Let's talk about this. After detailed analysis 5 different phones It will become clear how to choose a phone for older people. You still have time to buy it, we recommend that you read this article first.

MAXVI B2

About convenience

This phone is comfortable to hold in your hand, despite its “fatness”. Yes, and he understands it without difficulty. And if you customize the buttons quick access, any elderly person can handle it. You will agree that it is convenient to open the contact list with one click of the “up” button, or with the “down” button - SMS messages.

The “bell” and “reset” buttons were a little unfinished: they are not highlighted with either a color or a pattern. But if you don’t confuse them with the buttons in the top row, you can forgive this shortcoming.

Almost any mobile phone with large buttons is equipped with the following key locking system: top left button + “star”. It's the same here. But there is something annoying here: when the system asks you to press the top left key to unlock, you have to wait a couple of seconds. Until the message disappears, nothing can be done.

There were no problems with the battery, there was only slight bewilderment: the power on the unit itself is 1200 mAh, and on the packaging - 800. Usually I always turn down the brightness of the screen so as not to waste the battery. But here, it turns out, this is not possible here. And it’s not really necessary.

Communication and sound

When talking on this phone, you will not hear the interlocutor very clearly - there is a crackling sound, and the sound is slightly muffled. But at the other end of the “wire” you will be perfectly audible. The speaker is deafeningly loud, but the sound crackles a lot. The profile settings allow you to choose a vibration mode or just “quiet”.

SMS and font

The font is too large and cannot be resized. This is a big problem, because it is completely impossible to read these inscriptions, sleepily flowing from right to left. In some places the meaning is clear even from a fragment of a word, but this is rather an exception. You can close your eyes to this if you are just looking for a phone with buttons, but the MAXVI B2 is no different with a large screen.

By pressing the central button on the “cross” at the top you will be taken to the messages section. Incoming, outgoing SMS, drafts are displayed here. And, of course, the “New message” option. Conveniently, the message can be temporarily saved, even by simply exiting the SMS right while typing it. It will remain there until you add it or erase it.

Emergency call

Almost every large-screen phone for older people now has a special SOS button. MAXVI B2 is no exception, but SOS is activated here not by a separate button, but by a selection key. Not very convenient, since the button is used often, and there is a risk of accidentally pressing it.

Activating SOS is only possible from the main screen, and will not work if you are in any other menu. It’s hard to say why this was done: it turns out that in a critical situation you’ll have to make extra button presses. SOS itself works like this: it calls three times to 5 predefined numbers and sends a message asking for help. This message can be edited at your discretion in the corresponding menu item.

Additional features

Flashlight

You can turn on the flashlight with the “0” button. It doesn't shine as brightly as we would like, but it's still better than nothing.

Black list

Numbers of unwanted subscribers can be blacklisted. It’s good, of course, that it’s free here, but the benefits are questionable, given the target audience.

Let's sum it up

The phone is relatively convenient if used only as a dialer. SMS messages are a little difficult here, as is the interface in general. You can rate this phone a C on a ten-point scale.

INOI 107B

About convenience

Quite thin cellular telephone with large buttons, especially compared to the MAXVI B2. It fits comfortably in the hand and is generally easy to handle. But there is one point: to open back cover, you will have to make a lot of effort. I'm not sure most older people are ready for this kind of exercise. In this sense, INOI 107B is not the best grandmother's phone.

Setting the date and time is not entirely convenient, since the keyboard does not have left and right buttons. Locking is standard: top left button + “asterisk” (sequentially). If the keyboard is locked and we try to press something, an arrow will appear on the screen pointing to the “unlock” button.

The phone turns on and off quickly - in 3.5 seconds. Remember that when you turn it off, all settings are lost.

There is no way to listen to the alarm melody in advance. To do this, you need to set an alarm and listen after the fact. In addition, it rings very quietly, so it is quite possible to sleep through it.

Communication and sound

There is a good speaker here, but the microphone quality is no different. The interlocutor will hear a slight crackling sound in the background, and overall the sound here is a C grade.

SMS and font

Everything is easy to read, without tension. The font is smaller than in MAXVI B2, so there is no problem with text scrolling here. The language can be changed by pressing the hash mark, unlike MAXVI B2 (in which you need to change options separately to do this).

Some inscriptions are still difficult to read. Go to “settings”, then to “phone settings” and see the “preferred input methods” item. But it will not be visible in its entirety; the last word will appear by scrolling. In this case, the screen goes out quickly if you do not set the backlight time to 60 seconds. But be careful, because this will drain the battery faster. If the phone dies, all settings will be lost.

Emergency call

The SOS button is located on the rear panel, which prevents accidental pressing. But for the same reason it is not very convenient to press. The button is difficult to find, and the phone can slip out of your hands. The siren itself is quite loud, but you can turn it off in the settings. A maximum of 6 numbers are assigned for emergency calls. It is possible to set up an emergency SMS message.

Additional features

Turn on the flashlight by simply clicking the toggle switch on the side of the phone (right). Let's check how it shines: brighter than on the MAXVI B2, but there is still room for improvement.

The sound on the radio is not entirely perfect, but most FM waves are picked up well. By turning on the “background mode”, you can listen to the radio while tinkering with the settings, composing a message, etc. The only serious drawback: small symbols of the radio interface elements. It will be difficult for a person with less than perfect vision to distinguish all this on the screen.

Let's sum it up

The phone is well worth the money - 1200 rubles, which is even cheaper than the MAXVI B2. If you close your eyes to a couple of inconveniences, you can use it. The image quality on the screen is one of the few but noticeable advantages here. Overall, a fairly “average” phone.

Vertex C311

About convenience

Having a charging base is one of the main advantages of this phone. You don't have to look for a cable or connect it to the network (or computer). You just need to put it on the base and go about your business. The body itself fits comfortably in the hand. Opening the back cover is easier here compared to the INOI 107B, but effort will still be required.

If you have dealt with the INOI 107B phone, then there will be almost nothing new for you in the Vertex C311 interface. All the same control of buttons 4 and 6 as left and right arrows, and the font is very similar. And the names of most menu items are the same as those of that model. Unlocking is performed in the same way - the upper left button, then the “asterisk”.

Communication and sound

There are practically no complaints about the microphone here. Your interlocutor will hear everything perfectly, without any interference. Things are worse with the speaker here: the voice becomes not very clear and distorted.

SMS and font

The font is no worse than INOI 107B. The perfectly balanced font size makes it easy to read SMS messages and navigate settings.

Emergency call

When an SOS signal is given, a call is made to the specified numbers - a total of five attempts are made. If you select a quiet phone mode in your profile, then the SOS will also be “silent” (without a siren). The reason for this misunderstanding is not clear to me personally. But if you know this feature, then you can use it to your advantage - for example, if you need to quietly send a distress signal without attracting attention. However, will there be time for this in an emergency? The question is rather rhetorical. The button itself is located on the back, right under the camera lens.

Additional features

In this phone, the flashlight is turned on with a separate button. Whether this is good or bad is up to you, try pressing it while holding the phone in one hand. But the flashlight is very bright, in this regard there are no complaints about it.

Others special features worthy of special attention were not found in this model.

Let's sum it up

This phone is not much different from the INOI 107B. Now the camera, radio and pictures are in the “Multimedia” section - that, in general, is the whole difference. True, Vertex C311 is more expensive than INOI 107B. It’s difficult to find offers online for less than 1,370 rubles, while the Vertex C311 can be purchased for about 1,200 rubles.

Fly Ezzy 7+

About convenience

A relatively convenient mobile phone with large buttons that is easy to disassemble and assemble, and also fits comfortably in the hand. This mobile phone fits easily into your pocket. It doesn't turn on very quickly - loading takes about 10 seconds. Not only the buttons are large here, but also the numbers on them. Reset - red button, call - green. Very convenient to open phone book, this is done literally with one click on the “names” item.

Communication and sound

The quality of the speaker suffers greatly; rustling noises in the background interfere with conversation. The microphone is good, at least testing did not reveal any problems. It depends, of course, on the speaker on your interlocutor’s phone.

SMS and font

The SMS section here is a little strange: the top line reserved for the subscriber number can be mistaken for one of the lines for the message itself. Local designations are not at all obvious, and you have to find out everything empirically. In fact, everything would not be so scary if it were not for this terrible font, on which pixels clearly appear like a ladder.

There are several templates in SMS messages: for example, “call me”, “I’m busy”, “thank you”. For some reason, the message itself is entered only in capital letters, if you do not change the case to lowercase each time. Why this was done is unclear.

In the inbox list, a message is selected using the number “5” on the keyboard. Your phone won’t tell you about this; you have to figure it out on your own. The lack of the “view message” option is also confusing; there are only choices like “call the subscriber”, “reply”, etc.

Emergency call

The SOS signal is sent as usual to 5 preset numbers. Only one call is made. Does not ring again if the call was dropped, but the message is still sent. The text of this message can be edited at your discretion.

The siren screams very loudly, everyone around will hear it. To press the emergency call button, you must first feel it on the back of the phone, under the camera. Same as in the INOI 107B phone.

Additional features

It is absolutely the same as in the INOI 107B model, moderately bright. By locking the keyboard, you will not turn it on.

Let's sum it up

Externally, the phone is very good, and so is the touch. The problems with the font and controls, which were mentioned above, greatly spoil the impression of working with it. Overall, the phone can be rated somewhere around 1.5 out of 5.

Olmio C17

About convenience

A small, convenient phone, but its screen is relatively large, so you can see everything on it. I must say that screen quality is one of the main criteria by which compact phones with large buttons are chosen. This is especially true for older people important point. The surface of the case is non-slip, so the phone will not fall out of your hands. Olmio C17 is very easy to disassemble, except that the battery is a little difficult to remove. The black and red body gives the impression of a strict design.

Some keys are highlighted in color: a call is made with a green button, reset with a red button. The SOS button is also red, but we’ll talk about it below. The volume level on the phone is adjusted on the side panel:

To unlock the lock, a prompt appears on the screen:

Not all phones with large buttons for seniors are easy to use. In this regard, Olmio C17 outperformed most other models. There are as many as 4 separate buttons - “screen block” (it also unlocks), flashlight, SOS and a list of favorite numbers.

To open the call menu, just press the green call button. In just two clicks you can call back the person who dialed you before. You can enable the function of speaking numbers when dialing if the numbers on the panel are difficult to see.

SMS and font

Messages are written as they should be: with capital letter, and you don’t have to configure anything for this. The SMS can be saved as a draft and sent later from the appropriate section.

If you exited a message while typing an SMS, you will be asked whether to save it to your drafts list. We answer “Yes” with the green button or “No” with the red button.

The inbox list is organized conveniently. There is no need to press any extra buttons, unlike Fly Ezzy 7+. Simply select the desired message and click “OK”. Once you've finished watching, press the red reset button. The on-screen prompts will help in any case.

Emergency call

Even while typing a message or digging through the settings, you can send an SOS by holding down the emergency call button. In most phones of this type, you need to go to the main screen first. Therefore, Olmio C17 in this regard is perhaps the best grandmother's phone. The loud siren can be turned off in the emergency call settings.

You can set 5 numbers to call for emergency calls. In case you can't get through by phone, an SMS message is also sent. This message can be edited as desired.

Additional features

The radio has a built-in retractable antenna, the signal is received very well, and headphones are not needed (unlike most of these models). The list of stations can be selected directly from the list, but it is also possible to scroll manually. Background mode attached: turn on the radio and travel further through the menu items. Only best phones for the elderly. Moreover, it turns on very simply: press the FM button on the side panel of the phone, on the right.

Reserved for flashlight separate button, it creates quite bright lighting. It is convenient to turn it on and off because the button is located on the front panel and not on the side.

Let's sum it up

There are cheaper phones (this model costs 1,490 rubles), but this model is worth the cost. Ease of use, interface and everything else is done at a fairly high level, compared to other listed models.

A few more words

Each of the phones presented has its own pros and cons. We hope that after reading it, it becomes more clear to you how to choose the best grandmother’s phone, based on all these criteria.

I will give personal preference to Olmio C17, due to its wide functionality. In terms of price, it is not much different from other such phones, but it has more features and they are better implemented. They thought well about the target audience and created a very good model.

You usually give your old smartphones to mom and dad or children, but this won’t work with grandma. Touch screen It’s unusual for an elderly person, and it will be difficult for her to understand the abundance of applications. What if he catches or discharges the virus in half a day, photographing his garden beds and cats, but forgets to charge it...

In general, grandmothers need something simpler and more reliable, with a “long-lasting” battery and without any special bells and whistles. And so that the bell is loud and the buttons are larger - over the years, vision and hearing do not get better. It would seem that all push-button “dialers” are the same, but in fact, manufacturers care about our grandmothers more seriously than we expected. So eight best models with big buttons in one overview.

Phones with big buttons 2.0: as a gift for grandma - read the new review

This cute cot has been specially designed with the needs of seniors in mind.

So, what we have: large buttons with large, clear numbers. The display is colorful and bright, but the shell has large letters and contrasting menus. Of course, this is TFT, so it doesn’t look very good in the bright sun, but the buttons are pressed with voice confirmation. The speaker is very loud - you don’t have to shout for your grandmother to hear you on the phone, and if necessary, you can lower the volume level.

Why does this phone need a big red button on the cover? This is SOS - when pressed, a loud siren sounds, which will attract the attention of passers-by. The phone also automatically dials the specified number and switches to speakerphone mode. If grandma suddenly becomes ill or needs urgent help, this function is very useful. In addition, there is a physical button to turn on the flashlight (works even when the phone is turned off) and three programmable buttons for quick access to functions, and nine numbers can be set on speed dial.

Moreover: the phone supports memory cards up to 32 GB! Download grandma her favorite songs - there will probably be enough space for everything! And if they get bored, the phone has an FM radio.

A similar model, but in a candy bar form factor.

The screen is small, but the buttons are large, and the menus and numbers are as clear and understandable as possible. There is a camera, FM radio, a flashlight (turned on with a button and can work when the phone is turned off), the speaker is very loud. The branded SOS button is pressed intuitively in an emergency situation: then the siren turns on, which attracts attention, starts a call to loved ones and is activated Speakerphone so that you can hear what is happening at the other end of the line.

By the way, the battery capacity of ONEXT Care-Phone 5 is 20% greater than that of Care-Phone 6. With average usage, you can charge it once every 3-4 days, or even less often.

ONEXT Care-Phone 4 White and ONEXT Care-Phone 4 Black

The simplest and most reliable phone, designed for older people, comes with a black and white screen that saves high level contrast in any lighting. The buttons seem huge, but they are very easy to hit. In addition, the press is duplicated by voice and there are tips in Russian that will help you understand the technology and remind you how to call the desired function.

The speaker is very loud, the call will be heard throughout the entire apartment. And if you dump a collection of music onto a memory card (supports microSD with a capacity of up to 32 GB), the phone will turn into a player - it will be more fun to work at the dacha and drink tea with friends. By the way, it plays through the speaker and FM radio!

BQ BQM-2001 Sofia Black

The buttons are large, the font is contrasting, but slightly smaller than that of the ONEXT Care-Phone 6. There are two programmable buttons for frequently used functions, a flashlight, FM radio, and the ability to set up to nine numbers for speed dialing. The SOS key on the body is small, but easy to press; it is slightly pressed inward to prevent accidental triggering.

The phone supports microSD memory cards and Bluetooth. The first function is useful for downloading photos and music to grandma’s phone (you can’t download from the Internet), the second is for connecting wireless headset and don’t take your phone out of your pocket every time to answer a call.

The “trick” of the phone is indicators unread messages and battery charge on the lid: useful, as it will once again remind you that it’s time to charge your phone and read an SMS from your beloved grandson.

BQ BQM-2400 Taipei White

The body is thin, the buttons are large, the numbers are clear, the screen diagonal is 2.4 inches, larger than many competitors. True, the screen matrix, like other color phones, is built using TFT technology, and this is the only drawback of the model. But there is a flashlight, a 1.3 MP camera (most likely the same on your laptop), support for microSD memory cards up to 32 GB.

The phone speaker is loud enough, so if grandma has hearing problems, she will be able to communicate comfortably. But Bluetooth is also supported - with wireless headset It will be convenient to knit or garden while talking with you or your friends.

BQ BQM-1802 Arlon Black/Red and BQ BQM-1802 Arlon Black

A very simple, inexpensive and reliable phone with special features that can be useful for an elderly person.

The most important and necessary is the SOS button, which activates emergency call without dialing. It is located at the end of the phone - on the one hand, it is easy to find by touch, on the other hand, it is difficult to press accidentally.

Fourth in a row adventure from Blizzard was recently announced - this is not just Karazhan, but "Party in Karazhan": The idea is a big, cool party, hosted by none other than Medivh, and we're all invited. Review of new maps promises to be at least fun.

Map overview

Witch Raven

Let's start with map review Arcane Raven: 1 mana with 2/2 stats. This is a beast specifically for the Druid. Can a card with such performance play anywhere? She could play Zooloke, but... This is a Druid card. Either way, this is food for thought. As things stand now, it's hard to imagine this card in any deck unless it's a Beast based deck. Witch Raven looks especially attractive when paired with the Mark of Y'Shaarj. We play Raven on turn 1, Mark on turn 2 and voila - we get a 4/4 creature on turn 2, and we also take a card. This looks really cool. At the same time, we have to admit that this is something like a 4/4 for 1 mana with an overload of 2. Beast Druid has been before, the Mark of Y'Shaarj was given to him in order to make him more competitive, but this was not enough. Witch Raven was also added to promote it. However, we must ask ourselves: is this map enough to synergy with beasts did it really work? I'm not sure. But in general, don't forget about other cards that work in conjunction with this type of creature. In any case, as a beast this card is good.

Grandmother

Hey, why are your ears so big? Now let's look at the Hunter's card - Grandmother: 2 mana, stats 1/1. The closest thing this card can be compared to is Possessed Crawler: also 2 mana, but 1/2 stats. One of the main differences in tokens from these two cards is that Gray wolf– a beast, and this is very good, since this is an excellent chance to place the Hound: not a bad combination. But is Granny really that ridiculously good? Or is she ridiculously overrated? It can also be compared to Twilight Summoner, this card is not very effective, it is practically not present in current decks. Maybe Granny can show off in N'Zoth decks? Maybe she'll make Princess Khuhuran play more often? Or maybe she really is just bad? Possessed Crawler, whose time has passed, has been played in many decks, its deathrattle (2 creatures for 1/1) is perhaps even better than 1 creature 3/2. He looks like a Huge Toad: compared to Possessed by a creeper in favor of the latter, you also get a “ping” in the form of a Ghost Spider, which you can direct. Yes, in the end, the Granny appears on the table twice, but the Possessed Creeper was actually more annoying, since it left behind two creatures on the table, and not just one, as Grandmother. In general, the Possessed Creeper “adds up” into three creatures, while the Granny into two, this is its advantage. I'm looking at this card and it seems to me that it's too slow, it's something like Blood Marsh Lizard but on turn 3. Can this card play, and if so, where and how? I'm not sure, I think this is one of those cards that you learn by doing. In any case, let’s leave all preliminary judgments until the release of the adventure, let’s stop at this map review.

Portal: Firelands

Map overview Portal: Firelands will be pretty simple. If you thought Arena Mage needed a strong community card, congratulations, Blizzard heard you! It's very similar to North Sea Kraken, an arena killer card, and it's also similar to Fire Elemental in terms of its effects and stats. In a relationship Portal it all comes down to the characteristics of the 5-mana creatures that the card can summon to the table. I think the very average stats of a 5 mana creature, taking into account the effects of some of them, is 4/5. Will the Portal be good enough for the Mage? It's definitely a valuable card. 5 damage is practically a Fireball. As for the 5 mana minion, given that many of them have a Warcry that won't work, overall we're getting more of a 4 mana minion. People compare Open spaces with the Faceless Summoner, and they're right. True, he does not play in the ladder, but he shows himself well in the arena, just as the Portal will show itself, making the Mage even stronger in this mode.

White horse

White horse: Once again Paladin received a card with a cool healing effect. A close comparison to this card is Azure Dragon, which is very good: it adds +1 to spell power and draws a card. White horse Allows you to unearth a spell and heal, has the same stats as Azure Dragon, but costs 1 more mana. Paladin in Standard mode has 28 spells. Did you know that 11 of them cost 1 mana? It is for this reason that the White Horse can be very bad. The good news is that the chance of getting such a card is not very high. I don't think you'll be too disappointed if you get Forbidden Healing, or, for example, Murglegate of Fate and, despite the card's useless effect, be healed for 10 points. Lovely White horse is as follows: usually the opponent knows exactly how much health you can restore, so the digging mechanic itself is very relevant here, since it allows the enemy to remain in the dark. There is such a thing as rehealing. Yes, this card is designed to be used at low health, but if you use it at 25 health and dig up Murglegates of Fate, you are rehealed by 5 units, which is not good. On the other hand, this misleads your opponent into thinking that you have unearthed a card that costs 5 mana, and not 10. However, in any case, you have a chance to unearth something useful.

Ethereal Trader

Next card - Ethereal Trader. The first thing I want to note is that the characteristics are similar to those of the Arena Fighter, and they are quite strong. Secondly, Ethereal can be compared to Emperor Thaurissan largely due to the cheapening effect. Thaurissan's effect can be compared to a battle cry. Of course, he is not, but this creature is almost always killed immediately, which gives rise to such a comparison. To Ethereal played at a minimum effectively, you need to have at least two cards in your hand. If the card works, it will be even better than Thaurissan, considering General characteristics these two cards. But the question remains: how to put cards of other classes into your hand? What we have: the simplest and most popular option is the Undercity Merchant. Next is Nefarian, we also have Thief and Gathering, which is similar to Stolen Thoughts or bad Sorcerer Intelligence, but is more effective in synergy with Ethereal Trader. I assume that in the future they will add some more cards to the game with the effect of stealing cards from other classes. Value and quality Ethereal will depend on what opportunities the Rogue has and will have for stealing cards, perhaps this particular class will receive the title of thief of all times. In any case, even now the map looks good and interesting; new addition surprises!

Barnes

Barnes! Has characteristics proportional to those of the Frosty Yeti (4/5 for 4 mana). When I first saw this card, I wasn't particularly impressed. But then I realized its value in Deathrattle decks. Just imagine - Cairne Bloodhoof or Sylvanas Windrunner or Tirion Fordring. There are a lot of cards I'd like to get with Barnes: the above plus Ragnaros, Ragnaros Servant of the Light. I have a few thoughts about combinations with Barnes: Decks with a lot of super valuable cards, such as Malygos or Overlord Deathwing. With the latter, this can happen: you have 6 dragons in your hand, the Lord is on the table, and on the next turn your entire dragon family comes out onto the table, it looks cool. I have a few more assumptions, but in the current realities they are difficult to implement in practice on the ladder. Barnes looks cool and I hope to see it in a lot of decks. "Party in Karazhan" gives more and more hope!

And finally Caretaker! Possibly my favorite card of all the ones shown, so I left map overview to "sweet". When Ben Broad announced it, he said something like "If you liked Tree of Wisdom with its two-card draw effect and 5/5 stats that are definitely comparable to the 4/6 caretaker, then you will definitely like the last one, because he draws not two, but three cards.” One of the most common dragons in many decks is the Azure Dragon. The beast is the Precious Scarab, and as for the murloc, this is Sir Finley Mrrgglton. However, you definitely won't be happy to take it out of your deck. The Warden acts as a good card for Control decks, a good murloc for such decks is Fallen Seer, which deals 2 damage to all non-murloc creatures. The problem with the Warden is that there are only 2 copies of every dragon, beast, and murloc in the deck. Before Caretaker one of them may come into your hand, sometimes you will be forced to play one of them yourself. As a result, the Overseer can put not three or two cards into his hand, but only one, as the Tree of Wisdom now does. For Hunters Caretaker It might work well if you put Azure Dragon and, for example, Bluegill Warrior in the deck, who knows? In any case, the Overseer is a truly valuable card that will definitely make new addition even more interesting.

So, all these cards look interesting, and these are only 7 cards out of 45 that we will see in new addition. So far, each card individually looks like it's designed to promote less-than-popular ways to play. I think we will see the first wing on August 11th Parties in Karazhan(I don’t mean free, but the first one, although I’m not exactly sure), and let’s at least look at some cards in action. For now, let's limit ourselves to simple review of maps.
