This time, a new line of smartphones is expected from the Apple conference. Many observers suggest that, contrary to the established naming logic, the world will not see the iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus. But questions remain about what name the main new product of the year will get: iPhone X or even iPhone X Edition.
While the Inquirer expects the eighth iPhone lineup to be accompanied by the unveiling of the less updated iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, most observers, including 9to5Mac, predict that the event will be limited to the unveiling of the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X.
Recognition is a priority
Experts expect that the new model will be equipped with a function wireless charging, will receive an OLED (organic light emitting diode) screen instead of the liquid crystal one of its predecessors, will lose the Home button and will receive the owner’s face recognition function, which will replace the previously existing Touch ID, which read the owner’s fingerprints.
The device will also feature a dual camera setup on the front for better selfies. According to technology publication Quartz, back panel of the new smartphone, instead of aluminum, it will become glass and, following the competitors’ models, will lose the “frame” around the screen, which will make the device “glass” on all sides.
It is expected that the cost of the new product may exceed 1 thousand dollars for the first time. So, as the Inquirer reports, the starting iPhone price X, according to leaks, will be $999 for the 64 GB memory capacity, $1099 for the 256 GB model and $1119 for the 512 GB model. For comparison, the starting price of its predecessor, the iPhone 7 Plus, was $769.
The new product will be equipped with the latest operating iOS system 11 and is expected to get a new voice for Siri. Fast Company sources also report that the new product will be equipped laser system 3D for more precise camera focusing and even greater depth in applications with so-called augmented reality (augmented reality).
The 9to5Mac portal, in turn, reports that the iPhone 8 will be equipped new feature Animoji, which, thanks to 3D facial recognition sensors, will be able to animate emoji by giving them facial expressions and even the sender’s voice.
Questions remain as to when buyers will be able to get their hands on the new product. It is expected that pre-orders for new smartphone will be accepted within a few days after the presentation, however, as Business Insider writes, actual deliveries may be delayed due to technical difficulties with their production and it will be possible to receive the new product no earlier than the fourth quarter of 2017 or even later, in 2018.
Apple Watch: independence and clarity
The main novelty in the Apple Watch smartwatch segment is expected to be the ability to “break away” from your smartphone.
It is assumed that the Apple Watch Series 3 will be released in two versions - with the function of self-connection to wireless network with or without a built-in 4G LTE chip. The presence of the ability to independently connect to the Internet in the watch will be indicated by a red dot on the circular wheel (digital crown).
