The final build is designed for two categories of players: dreamers and those who are ready to pay 200 thousand for the opportunity to play in 4K.

Apart from the coolest graphics card today, the GTX 1080, we don’t have much options. And even such a card is not enough for 4K with a frequency of 60 frames - so we take two at once (there is no point anymore: in the new series, NVIDIA has stopped supporting combinations of three and four cards). Let's focus on the Palit GTX 1080 GameRock Premium - a fast card that is traditionally cheaper than its competitors. The combination is very demanding on the processing power of the processor, so we take the flagship Intel Core i7-6700K chip with a starting frequency of 4 GHz and good overclocking potential (Core i7-7700K). We’ll use the same RAM as before (Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 2133 MHz), but now it will be two 16 GB sticks. We don't skimp on storage either. Surprisingly, even this almost maximum configuration will not support everything at 4K. You will see 60 frames per second at ultra settings in 4K in games like the third "The Witcher", GTA 5, Assassin's Creed Syndicate and Battlefield 1. But, for example, in Fallout 4, Dark Souls 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Drops of up to 30 frames are possible. And the problem is not in the hardware, but in the fact that many developers still poorly optimize graphics for SLI configurations.

The situation with 4K may change in the spring, after the announcement of the 1080 Ti - it is possible that this video card will turn out to be best choice for maximum settings and resolutions. The remaining configurations are unlikely to change significantly in the coming months (with the exception of the transition to Kaby Lake, which we wrote about at the beginning) - so choose according to your needs and capabilities and start saving money.
