Hello, dear readers of the blog site. You've probably come across scanned images on the Internet. books in Djvu format(their files have the same extension).

Usually, it is not fiction that is distributed online in this way, but books containing drawings, graphs, formulas and other things that are quite difficult to translate into digital format using text recognition programs.

At first, I thought that this strange djvu() format was an ordinary set of raster images (photos) that were the result of scanning a book. But in this case the file size would be very large, and we do not observe this.

What is a file with such a mysterious extension and how can you open it to start reading the information contained in “déjà vu”, and what programs are best to use. I will try to answer all these questions in this article.

What is a Djvu file?

It turns out that djvu was developed about fifteen years ago and is a very successful mixture of test and graphic formats. In principle, when digitizing books, two scenarios are possible:

  1. Perform text recognition on a scanned page and save it using compression algorithms, which allows you to get a very small weight of the final file. The downside is that you lose images, backgrounds, marginal notes, dog-ears, and other things that may be important in some cases. But it will be possible to conduct a full search using recognized texts.
  2. You can save scanned texts as pictures, for which these or tiff are suitable. However, the weight of even one scanned page will be prohibitively high if we want to maintain quality. Well, it will be impossible to search through texts.

Djvu combines the advantages of the methods described above, while having virtually no disadvantages. Format Deja vu can be classified as text-graphic, which in itself already sounds unusual, but it promises a lot of dividends. Judge for yourself:

  1. The original scanned image is compressed in Djvu ten times more tightly than it would be using JPEG, and its quality remains virtually unchanged. At the same time, jpeg will definitely blur both text and graphics, and everything that is possible, and our hero will leave everything in its original form.
  2. An A4 sheet, scanned and converted to déjà vu, will weigh around 50 kilobytes (read about that) if the source had color graphics (or background), and around 10 kilobytes if it was black and white. Lepota, and this is taking into account the fact that the scanning was carried out in high resolution 300 DPI. The same file saved in tiff format(without loss of quality), would weigh several hundred times more.
  3. The Djvu file contains a text layer through which you can conduct a full search, and if you wish, you can leave only it (removing the color mask and background information), which will further reduce the size.

All this is achieved thanks to a rather original approach. I could be wrong, but in my opinion it is as follows:

  1. Separate the text of the page and its background. The algorithm monitors many factors and correct settings may even rip out the text component from the cover of a magazine, where words can also be used as a background.
  2. The text is saved in a one-bit version (black and white) and is compressed quite tightly.
  3. The background is saved separately and compressed a little less efficiently.
  4. Information about the color of the text and illustrations used in the book is also compressed, but using a different algorithm.
  5. As I already mentioned, the Djvu format provides a separate text field, thanks to which you can search through scanned books.

But the questions of creation and principles of data formation in déjà vu files are of interest to us insofar as, and it will be much more interesting to find out how they can be open and read Djvu.

Naturally, special reading programs (readers) are used for this purpose, which are available for both computers and mobile devices based on Android or iOS (ipad, iPhone). It’s convenient, after all, on the way home or to work to increase your level of education by reading a smart book on your mobile phone.

How to open Djvu - reading programs on a computer

There are several programs that are focused on working only with déjà vu files, and there are a number universal solutions, which allow you to read books in almost any form. There are also Djvu editors that allow you to edit or even create your own masterpieces.

Among Deja Vu readers intended for computers, it is worth highlighting the following readers:

    It fully supports the Russian language and even managed to be captured by the “great and terrible” Yandex, forcing you almost by force and by default searching in all your browsers:

    In general, they make it possible to abandon all this wealth (including), but not everyone pays attention to this when installing the program. Of course, with the same one it all looks even more intrusive, but the leading Runet search engine has also already filled all the free programs with its add-ons to the point of “don’t play around.”

    As I already mentioned, Djvu can have a text layer embedded, so when reading books containing it, you can search by words and phrases.

    On the left, WinDjView has a navigator with page thumbnails, and at the top there is a toolbar where you can open new file, change the scale and type of page display (endless strip or imitation of a book spread), and also rotate them, if necessary, at an angle multiple of 90 degrees.

    What’s noteworthy is that this deja vu reader opens new books in new tabs, which allows you to work with several materials at once in one program window. There is also the ability to make bookmarks and leave comments (from the right-click context menu). You can use a screen magnifier from the toolbar and full-screen viewing mode (in this case, you can turn pages with a simple mouse click).

    If you select “File” - “Settings” from the WinDjView program menu, then on the second tab you can set the inversion of colors (for example, in order to read white text on a black background), as well as adjust the brightness, contrast or gamma for better perception of the document in Djvu format.

    At the beginning of the article, I mentioned that in déjà vu, the scanned document is broken down into a black and white text component, a background, and foreground color information. So, in WinDjView all this can be clearly seen by selecting “view” - “mode” from the menu.

    Last current version dates back to 2005 (version 2.0.0.26) and its compatibility with modern OS is not guaranteed, although on mine Windows Vista it still works, although not as quickly as its modern counterpart described just above. It does not require installation and works directly from the folder where you unpacked the archive with the program.

    During installation, you need to check the box that you will not use this reader for commercial purposes, so as not to pay for the program.

    Well, the same STDU Viewer will ask you what exact file extensions you would like to associate it with, other than déjà vu.

    In principle, there is nothing so global in this reader that would not be in WinDjView, but... Firstly, it’s captivating a huge number of formats, which can be opened and read using this program.

    Secondly, a very convenient and thoughtful interface.

    Almost all of the reader’s functionality is displayed in the form of toolbars located around the entire perimeter of the program window. The place where page thumbnails are usually displayed book to read, has as many as six tabs located at the bottom.

    Not all of them apply to Djvu, but still. The same bookmarks, which can be designed in the form of a tree, can easily replace the missing navigation in your reference book or reference book.

    The brightness and contrast settings are also displayed as an icon in the lower right corner, where there are also buttons for switching the document display mode.

    Thirdly, there are some nice functional delights that will help during daily work with STDU Viewer:

    Well, fourthly, there is a huge number of settings that can be made in STDU Viewer so that this reader is fully suited to your habits and needs.

    For example, you can customize (File - Program Settings) even the appearance of the tabs, which, of course, is a trifle, but quite pleasant:

Djvu readers for Android and iOS (iPad and iPhone)

For some reason, I mostly manage to read books on the road, but there are always a lot of other, more important and interesting things to do. In this regard, I was faced with the task of downloading some suitable déjà vu reader for my beloved iPad, received as a gift from Profit Partner, but also in addition to everything - for an Android phone.

At the same time, I try to try all the free options for programs and applications before coming to the conclusion that I have no other option but to part with my hard-earned money. Actually, the main candidates for the place of Djvu are e-readers for iOS on the Internet. DjVU Book Reader.

Everything seems to be fine, both reviews and screenshots, but they are asking for it, albeit a small, but still a sum of money (169 rubles). I thought that the light had not converged on this software and in the Apple Store I entered search bar the word Djvu and asked to filter only free applications.

After testing to open various files in déjà vu format and assessing ease of use and functionality, among free programs for iPad a clear leader has emerged - KyBook.

The software is unique, in my opinion, because while it is free, it fully supports EPUB, FB2, PDF, DJVU, CBR, CBZ and audiobooks in MP3, M4A, M4B formats.

When reading, the pages turn beautifully (the animation can be customized), there are a lot of settings and functionality, such as creating bookmarks, leaving notes, searching through the contents of a book, etc. things that are accessible from the top toolbar.

The KyBook reader has unexpectedly many settings:

Including there is separate group settings of this reader for PDF and DJVU formats:

In the library of this reader, you can sort books, create shelves for them, move files between them, rename them, and do everything that is usually required from such programs.

In addition, it is possible to use your existing applications for working with cloud storage systems such as , or Google Drive.

True, by providing access to your files in Dropbox and other clouds, KyBook warns you that it can even change them, which I personally don’t really like.

So I Djvu files are thrown into the Dropbox folder on the computer (via Wi-Fi), after which I open the application of the same name on the iPad and add them to my favorites, so that they are not later pulled over the mobile Internet, which is not always fast and also limited.

It seems to me that it will be safer this way.

Now it’s time to move on to the question of how to open Djvu on Android. The Internet told me that the best options are two free apps, which I still use to this day, because I didn’t have any particular complaints about their work, but just in case I left both of them in case one of them won’t be able to open some twisted déjà vu file.

So, I present to you deja vu readers for Android:

Good luck to you! See you soon on the pages of the blog site

Good day!

I'm almost sure that e-book lovers have already encountered this format - DjVu - dozens of times (even its spelling is somewhat unusual?).

He has unique feature: the degree of compression of the scanned document in it (and indeed any pictures) is superior to all competitors (surprisingly, it is higher than that of). Thanks to this, even the largest book can be placed in a compact file and transferred over the network.

However, due to the specificity of the format, it is not possible to open it in every program (and even after opening it, it is not so convenient to read and use the document in many readers). In this article I will recommend several irreplaceable programs that open 99.99% of DjVu files, display them correctly, and allow you to work with them comfortably.

Note:The article provides programs for Windows. If you need an e-reader for Android, I recommend choosing something universal, for example, these products:

For reading (readers)

WinDjView is one of the fastest and most compact programs for viewing this format. It is very convenient that it implements continuous scrolling of pages; there is a panel on the left fast travel according to the document (contents).

I will also note the presence of an advanced printing function (allows you to customize the printout in a way that cannot be done in similar software). The program is based on the freely distributed DjVuLibre library.

Peculiarities:

  • the ability to open multiple documents at once (using tabs, like a browser);
  • the presence of a full-screen version (makes the document easier to read);
  • ability to create bookmarks;
  • ability to adjust contrast, brightness, color scheme etc. for a comfortable pastime;
  • export page to image format (GIF, JPG and JPEG);
  • support for Russian and all popular Windows versions 7, 8, 10.

A very convenient and compact program for viewing all popular e-book formats: PDF, DjVu, ePub, MOBI, XPS, CHM, CBZ and CBR. Together with a minimalist style interface, low system requirements and ease of use - make it one of the favorite products of millions of users around the world!

Besides, Sumatra PDF completely free, consumes less memory than many analogues (say, Adobe Reader), does not require installation (you can carry it with you on a flash drive), supports hot keys, display settings, etc.

Of the minuses: there may be some problems when opening old DjVu files (apparently, after all, you won’t be able to do without a standard DjVu reader...).

Despite the fact that this program has not been updated for a long time, it copes with its task perfectly! Its main advantages:

  • support for almost any DjVu files;
  • the presence of a side menu with contents, thumbnails, etc. - allows you to quickly navigate through the document;
  • adjusting image brightness and contrast;
  • low PC requirements: especially noticeable when opening large files on weak machines;
  • Convenient navigation using the keyboard (you don’t have to use the mouse at all!)
  • small size, no need for installation;
  • Russian support, Windows support XP, 7, 8, 10.

Of the minuses (purely in my opinion): there is no smooth scrolling of pages (I’m very used to this).

To create DjVu (encoding/decoding)

DjVu Small

Website: http://www.djvu-soft.narod.ru/scan/djvu_small.htm

This is one of the most simple programs to create DjVu files (from ordinary images that everyone is used to working with: TIF, JPG, BMP, GIF and PNG). The program is very convenient, universal, works on almost all Windows 98/NT/XP/7/8/10 operating systems.

I note that the program can compress one or more images in DjVu (this is called coding ), and unclench (i.e. decode - get/extract pictures from DjVu).

The program does not require installation. Supports Russian interface.

To compress images in DjVu you need (see screenshot above):

  1. open folder or files;
  2. select the folder where the received file will be saved;
  3. select quality (here it is quite difficult to give a specific recommendation, because you need to choose based on the original quality. To begin with, I recommend choosing the “Default” option; if the quality/file size is not satisfactory, change it to an excellent option);
  4. Click the "Start" button.

DjVu DocExpress

Website: http://www.djvu-soft.narod.ru/soft/

Very powerful program for creating and editing DjVu documents. For example, the program can turn all pages at once by 90-80 degrees, create links to pages within a file or to individual pages on the Internet.

As for creating a DjVu file in it, everything is simple:

PdfToDjvuGUI

Website: http://www.trustfm.net/software/utilities/PdfToDjvuGUI.php

One of the simplest solutions is PdfToDjvuGUI. The point is that you can create DjVu not from pictures (as in previous versions), but from a PDF file. In some cases this is much more convenient and faster.

After starting the program, just select the file (the "Add PDF" button), and then click on the "Generate DjVu" button (if necessary, set the compression settings).

Then automatic file conversion will start (just wait until the “black” window is closed). The DjVu file will be created in the same directory in which the PDF added for conversion was located.

Online conversion services

Now there are quite a lot of services on the network that offer to upload a file to them and quickly convert it to DjVu. Of course, they can hardly be used for scanned documents (after all, they often contain personal and corporate information). But as an example, here are a couple of options:

  • - the service allows you to quickly convert PDF to DjVu (the file should not exceed 100 MB);
  • - another service (its arsenal has quite a lot of conversion directions). Using the link given above, you will find the opposite option: DjVu to PDF.

That's all, good luck!

The DjVu file format typically uses the .djvu extension and was developed as an alternative to the Adobe PDF in 1996. Thanks to advanced compression algorithms, DjVu is optimized for scanned documents that contain both images and text. In most cases, DjVu files are more compact than comparable PDF files. This was the short answer to your question. However, most likely you came to this page because you recently came across a DjVu file and wondered how to open it. Therefore, the first part of this article will provide you with all the tools and algorithms to open a DjVu file. But if you also want to have a deeper understanding about DjVu, you have come to the right place: The second part of this article will provide you with historical and technical background background information about this interesting file format, so stay tuned!

There are basically two ways to access a DjVu file. If you're looking for a quick and dirty solution, you can convert it to PDF and open it with your favorite tool PDF viewer such as Acrobat reader:
  • 1. To convert any DjVu file to PDF, you can directly use our converter DjVu to PDF.
  • 2. If you prefer to install software to view DjVu directly, on the other hand, you may be interested in our updated list of DjVu players.
To convert DjVu, we recommend using an online converter. Installing an offline converter is not worth the effort as you can directly switch to the DjVu player, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits of DjVu. In fact, there are several good reasons to choose the second option. Maybe the rest of the article will convince you of this.

Best DjVu Players

Conversion is always accompanied by quality losses, unless, of course, you are ready to put up with output files larger than the source document. Because the DjVu documents are quite similar to PDFs and are even searchable in many cases (which is often forgotten), and perhaps sticking to the original document while choosing a suitable player would be a good choice. There are a number of DjVu players for almost every operating system available on the Internet, a small selection of which are summarized here:

Sumatra Reader (with DjVu support)

Sumatra Reader is one of the lesser known DjVu players available for Windows. Compared to other alternatives presented here, it not only allows you to open and view DjVu files, but also supports basic operations for processing and editing them. So it's probably the best choice for working with DjVu on Windows.

DjView

DjView- good player DjVu, which is available free of charge for operating Windows systems, Linux and Mac. It allows you to search DjVu documents and can show an outline of the document and thumbnail images of specific pages.

WinDjView, MacDjView

Another useful tool that offers roughly the same functionality as DjView. It also allows you to select and copy text using your cursor, much like working with a PDF document. Also the user interface is very similar to most PDF players. The names already imply that the software is available for Windows and MacOs.

STDU Viewer

STDU Viewer is free (for non-commercial and educational use) and a powerful document viewer that also supports DjVu. Software available at different languages. It does a great job with files that have a text layer and can therefore be useful if you want to export simple text from DjVu and other supported documents.

X Djvu for iPhone and iPad

Yes, you can read DjVu documents using your iPhone! X Djvu - useful application which allows you to read DjVu documents from using iPhone or iPad and offers many various functions. A smaller version of X Djvu Lite can be downloaded for free for testing.

Ebookdroid - document reader for Android

You want to read your DjVu documents on your Android smartphone. No problem! There are many free document players available that allow you to open DjVu files on Android. A good one is, for example, Ebookdroid, which also supports PDF. Installation is very easy via the Google App Store.

Where did the DjVu file format come from?

The DjVu format was developed as an alternative to the PDF format in 1998 at AT&T Labs, where some pioneering inventions such as the transistor were made. The main contributors to the development of DjVu were Yann LeCun, Leon Bottu, Patrick Haffner and Paul G. Howard, and the leading idea behind the development of DjVu was to create a file format that is optimized for scanned documents that contain both images and text. The key requirement here was that new format file works better than PDF for this type of document. The key advantage of DjVu is the limited size of DjVu files. Therefore, it is often used to distribute scanned documents online. Unlike PDF, this format open file, which means it can be used both with open source code, and with proprietary software. The DjVu format usually uses the extension .djvu or sometimes just .djv.

Why are DjVu files special?

DjVu files use advanced compression technologies that are approximately 5-10 times better than JPEG files and Tiff. A scanned page in color (300 DPI) with a file size of, say, about 25 MB, can easily be compressed to 100 KB (!) using DjVu. All DjVu files can be equipped with a text layer, which will make them searchable. These searchable DjVu files are very similar to PDF documents. The key to achieving this superior compression is so-called multi-scale two-color clustering, which allows the separation of foreground and background masks, which is more general than standard text/image segmentation. Along with a suite of soft template matching algorithms, the JBIG2 compression that DjVu uses outperforms the JBIG1 compression that has been the standard for bilayer images for a long time. The JBIG2 encoding principle is as follows: First, the method identifies nearly identical shapes on a page, such as multiple occurrences of a particular character in a given font, style, and size. It then compresses the bitmap of each unique shape separately and then encodes the locations where each shape appears on the page. Likewise, similar shapes are compressed only once rather than multiple times, which explains the advantage in terms of file size that DjVu files typically show. Other key components of the compression technique used by DjVu are the multi-scale sequential projection algorithm and the so-called ZP encoder.

DjVu files with hidden OCR layers

You can still think of DjVu files as a free collection of bitmap images that do not contain text information, searchable and therefore difficult to process. So, we need to get used to the fact that PDF is an undeniably prettier format? Of course not! The DjVu authors were smart enough to find a clever job here: to make DjVu files searchable, and to be similar to PDF files, they added a hidden layer of OCR to the file format definition. This is a very economical way of providing searchable textual information on the one hand, and a strict separation between visual appearance document and content that can be viewed by the reader. Most DjVu files that are distributed on the Internet contain such a text layer. The main difference between DjVu and PDF is that DjVu is a format bitmap, whereas PDF format is a scalable vector file format. This trick even allows you to easily copy and paste text from any DjVu that is equipped with a layer like the one used to work with PDF files. Licensing and adaptation of DjVu DjVu appeared first as an open source incarnation that was called "DjVuLibre" and used the GNU General Public License. However, copy rights to commercial designs software for encoding have been given to several different companies over the years, including AT&T Corporation, LizardTech, Celartem and others. Although PDF is used more often than DjVu, despite the fact that some experts believe that DjVu is actually best format documents due to its superior compression algorithms, DjVu has achieved a significant level of adoption due to this open source licensing. Since DjVu was developed at the peak of the digitization era when many books were scanned, many people still use DjVu to scan documents and books over the Internet. Additionally, in 2002, the Internet Archive, with its million-dollar book project, which provides millions of public domain scanned books, also decided to support DjVu along with PDF.

Technical characteristics of DjVu files

DjVu was originally derived from the Interchange File Format (IFF), which is based on hierarchically organized chunks. As with IFF, its structure is preceded by a 4-byte AT&T magic number. This identifier is followed by a marker indicating whether to make a single-page document (DJVU) or a multi-page document (DJVM), respectively. A more detailed discussion is undoubtedly beyond the scope of this article. Another important specification, however, is the Internet mime type for DjVu - image/vnd.djvu or image/x-djvu. The current version of DjVu is version 26, released over 10 years ago.

The future of DjVu

Although not much progress has been made in DjVu development in recent years, the number of DjVu files released is eventually increasing again. This may be due to the most compelling benefit of DjVu files, namely their incredibly compact file size. At a time when the World Wide Web is increasingly being used by mobile devices, and throughput While still a cost factor, using DjVu's superior compression can help save time and money. Meanwhile, there are also applications that can be used to display DjVu files on smartphones and tablets. Of course, this is pure speculation, but perhaps DjVu's future could be brighter than its past. In fact, the name DjVu conveys some kind of hidden message, as it is inspired by the French expression DjVu [déjà vu], which means something like “already seen.” Since you are now familiar with DjVu, you can be absolutely sure that you will see it again very soon as long as you live in the Internet world.

Good afternoon, dear readers! Today we will talk about e-books, or more precisely, about one of the e-book formats. Today the most common extensions are PDF, FB2, TR, LIT, etc. We all know how to work with them, how to open them, everything is brought to an automatic level. But when we encounter the DJVU format, the question arises, what to do in such a situation. I will answer this question in this article.

Personally, I distinguish two ways to work with this format. The first is to install a converter and simply convert the DJVU format into any other, for example FB2 or PDF. And the second one is to install special program, with which we can easily work with this format. Today we will look at both methods, and you decide for yourself which one you will use.

Perhaps, let's start with special programs for working with DJVU, and finish with a converter!

How to open DJVU, DJVU reader

In fact, DJVU has already become quite a popular and well-known format. Consequently, there are a lot of programs for working with this format. I don’t see the point in considering all the programs, since one is more than enough. Today we will look at only one program - DJVU Reader, but for those who want to delve deeper into this matter, I will give the names of two more popular programs: WinDjView and STDU Viewer.

DJVU Reader Installation Instructions

You can download the DJVU format reader by clicking. Next, the downloaded archive must be unpacked into any folder using any archiver, for example WinRAR. To do this, click on the folder inside the archive right click mouse and select “Extract to specified folder”.

Now open the program using the shortcut you created on your desktop. In essence, a blank gray sheet will open. The only thing that will stand out is the “File” button in the main menu:

Since this is the only available button, then we will use it! Click on “File” and select “Open”, or use a shortcut CTRL keys+ O. Next, using the dialog box, select the book itself in DJVU format and open it! After this, the book itself will be loaded into the program. In my case, the program interface began to look like this:

Using the “+” and “-” buttons, you can respectively increase and decrease the image of the book (font, etc.), and use the “Forward” and “Back” arrows to turn pages. These are the main functions of the program, which are already enough to read books.

But this program only works on computers. If you have any mobile device, then there you can use the CoolReader program (it supports reading not only FB2, PDF and others, but also DjVu as well).

Now let's look at a converter that can be used to convert DJVU to PDF.

Unfortunately, there are currently no normal, powerful DJVU to FB2 converters. And those that exist are weak and it will take a very long time to wait for the translation of 500 pages. Therefore, today we will look at the DJVU to PDF converter, since it turned out to be more successful!

First we need to download a special program DjView. Next, open the archive and run the download file. The program has a simple installation wizard, so there can be no problems here.

After installation, a shortcut will be automatically created on your desktop. Run the program, the following window will open:

We are interested in one single function of this program - converting DjVu to PDF. First, we need to download the book itself in DjVu format. To do this, in the main menu at the top, select “File” -> “Open”, and then select the desired book in DjVu format in the dialog box. After the book is downloaded, the program interface will be updated:

Now let's move directly to the conversion. Again, select “File” from the menu at the top, but this time click on “Export...”. In the “Result” panel we find the “Format” line. The “PDF Document” item should be selected there:

Then click “OK” and wait for the conversion to complete. Fortunately, you won't have to wait long, the program is quite powerful. After conversion, PDF format will appear in the destination folder!

Mission accomplished!

The DJVu format is used in electronic libraries. This resolution compresses illustrations with a loss of quality, but is necessary to convey the nuances of the source text. In this article we will analyze in detail why this size is needed and how to open a DJVu file on a computer.

General description of the DJVu format

Users are often interested in questions about what the format is and how to open a DJVu file. To create such a file, the source (text, drawing, diagram) is first scanned, then the DJVu technique is used to compress the drawing.

The scanned copy is decomposed into three layers: foreground and background, one-bit mask. After this, compression occurs using wavelet technology and the JB2 algorithm. As a result, we get a document of 15 KB in size.

The file is saved in two versions: conversion with loss of quality and without loss in formats: PNG, JPEG or TIFF. There are two ways to open DJVu; we’ll tell you more about them below.

History of origin

Image conversion technology was developed by Yann LeCun, Leon Botu and Patrick Heffner at AT&T Labs between 1998 and 2001. In 2000, the rights to the invention were purchased by LizardTech, and in 2009 by Cuminas.

Since the program is designed with open source, it is used on various software. GNU has licensed the DJVuLibre library with tools for encoding and viewing documents.

How and with what to open a DJVu extension file

DejaVu files are available for viewing on Mac OS and Windows platforms. There are two methods to open a DJVu file: install the program or view it online. Let's consider software products for each method.

Open DJVu on your computer

Format viewers are divided into three types:

  • universal;
  • special;
  • converters.

We present a list of tools for opening a DJVu file on various versions of Windows.

On Windows 10

The utility will help you open a DejaVu file on Windows 10. To work with the document you need:

  • download, unpack and run the program;
  • In the upper left corner, click “File”, select “Open” (or use the hotkey combination “CTRL + O”) and specify the location of the document on your computer.

On Windows 7
