Anyone who writes something about memory simply does not understand why this phone is being bought. Its main advantage is the presence of all imaginable modules (GPS, HSPA+, flash) for a ridiculous price. The memory problem can be solved in an elementary way - you buy a 32 GB class 10 microSD, break the root (KingRoot), and then upload the firmware where you manually mapped the memory and sent it to the card. I was particularly pleased with the screen - I was prepared for the TFT to go blind in the sun - but no, it’s very good. Pleased pure android- there weren’t even Google apps (and where should they be). And everything would be fine, but... But after a week the top glass touch panel it just came off. The result is a screen with remote control) Considering the design, this problem is unlikely to be isolated (the corners of the glass protrude beyond the edge of the case). It's a pity. Cool kid.

I’ve been using it for about 1.5 years and I wasn’t particularly surprised that the phone for 2000 rubles lags and the camera is bad, but I realized that it’s better to buy something that’s more expensive and of course better than Fly and Highscreen, so I bought myself Xiomi; colleagues said that the company was good and they weren’t mistaken! But I myself then this phone (I’m talking about Highscreen) is good and affordable, I recommend it, but don’t be surprised if you can’t download anything else except VK and Viber or Sberbank online! I think I said it all!

I don’t understand people who take a phone for 2000 rubles and want an iPhone 7 Plus... The phone is excellent... it works great, there’s enough memory... The battery lasts 2 days, the network doesn’t disappear... The secret is to make the battery last longer - You don’t need to charge it immediately after purchase - but discharge it to zero so that the phone can’t even turn on, then charge it to 100% and again discharge it to zero, and so on 5 times... Memory problems? -Are you guys too drunk or what? This is not iOS or Windows Phone...Yes special utility How ROOT rights(set Root) remove system not required applications- install Ram EXPANDER (for this you need a flash drive of 8GB class 10) - this utility is so that you can run something normal - for example Subway Surf, etc... There is not enough memory in this device, but there is a Link2SD utility for it too needed Root access... (LOOK FOR MORE DETAILS ON YOUTUBE or read on the 4Pda forums) I bought the phone as a second option, because I needed a phone with 2 SIM cards and not expensive, because my Lumia 920 has 1 SIM card...

An ordinary telephone is no different from a push-button one, just to make calls and listen to music, but everything is as usual, and I would like to point out that in order for it not to slow down, you need to install at least Android 4 or 4 2 versions on it, but no more. Of course, you can use it if you don’t play or take photos or videos.

One thing that would be reasonable is not to criticize him, since they knew what they were taking. But after months of use, the disadvantages covered the advantages that were there initially. He is one year old this moment. It still works and is used every day for communication. But by communication we mean: SMS, calls. These reviews cannot completely influence the person who wants to buy this or that model of gadget. It’s also not a fact that my review will turn someone away completely and irrevocably from the idea of buying it, or vice versa. It works quite well for its price, but the word does not fit at a higher level.

Accelerometer(or G-sensor) - sensor of the device’s position in space. As the main function, the accelerometer is used to automatic change orientation of the image on the display (vertical or horizontal). Also, G-sensor is used as a pedometer, it can be controlled various functions device by turning or shaking.
Gyroscope- a sensor that measures rotation angles relative to a fixed coordinate system. Capable of measuring rotation angles in several planes simultaneously. A gyroscope together with an accelerometer allows you to accurately determine the position of the device in space. Devices that use only accelerometers have lower measurement accuracy, especially when fast movement. Also, the capabilities of the gyroscope can be used in modern games for mobile devices.
Light sensor- a sensor that sets the optimal brightness and contrast values for this level illumination The presence of a sensor allows you to increase the battery life of the device.
Proximity sensor- a sensor that detects when the device is close to your face during a call, turns off the backlight and locks the screen, preventing random clicks. The presence of a sensor allows you to increase the battery life of the device.
Geomagnetic sensor- a sensor for determining the direction of the world in which the device is directed. Tracks the orientation of the device in space relative to the magnetic poles of the Earth. The information received from the sensor is used in mapping programs for terrain orientation.
Atmospheric pressure sensor- sensor for precise measurement atmospheric pressure. It is part of the GPS system, allows you to determine altitude above sea level and speed up location determination.
Touch ID- fingerprint identification sensor.

Satellite navigation:

GPS(Global Positioning System) is a satellite navigation system that provides measurements of distance, time, speed and determines the location of objects anywhere on Earth. The system is developed, implemented and operated by the US Department of Defense. The basic principle of using the system is to determine location by measuring distances to an object from points with known coordinates - satellites. The distance is calculated by the delay time of signal propagation from sending it by the satellite to receiving it by the antenna of the GPS receiver.
GLONASS(Global Navigation Satellite System) - Soviet and Russian satellite navigation system, developed by order of the USSR Ministry of Defense. The measurement principle is similar to the American GPS navigation system. GLONASS is designed for operational navigation and timing support for land, sea, air and space-based users. The main difference from the GPS system is that GLONASS satellites in their orbital motion do not have resonance (synchrony) with the rotation of the Earth, which provides them with greater stability.

For more than a year now, import substitution has been a special hot topic; we are replacing everything European with Russian brands. Despite the fact that this trend has not yet affected the computer device market, it is nice to know that there is a Russian company that is ready to replace imported products with its own product. We are talking about the company Highscreen, which has been producing smartphones and tablets at reasonable prices for more than 15 years, focusing on Western manufacturers. Today we will look at it from all sides.

Design and basic controls

As usual, we begin the description with the appearance of the smartphone. Here is a device in a candybar type case with a touch screen. The back side is made of white plastic; in the center is the brand name, made using the embossing technique. This detail is quite insignificant, but adds impressiveness to the appearance. The front part is painted black, the display is covered with protective glass. Note that the device looks very modern and corresponds to the latest trends, especially considering the fact that this is a representative of a budget price segment.

The HIGHSCREEN Pure J smartphone has modest dimensions, as the screen diagonal is 3.5 inches. The display resolution is only 480320, so the image quality is average. Such a device will be convenient primarily for making calls, since for many users the screen size will not be enough for comfortable Internet surfing. This smartphone will perfectly act as an additional phone and will serve as an excellent first gadget for your child.

Basic functionality

Used in a smartphone MediaTek processor MT6572M, paired with 256 MB RAM. These characteristics will clearly not be enough to work with complex applications, mobile version It’s definitely not possible to install office programs. The device can cope with simple tasks – simple games and Internet searches.

The amount of available built-in memory is 512 MB, which is not enough for a modern user. You will definitely benefit from the ability to expand memory using the microSDHC connector. As operational support the developer chose Android 4.4, so users of other devices on Android based will be able to work with the already familiar interface. One of the main advantages for many users will be the presence of 2 SIM card slots, so you can combine 2 telephone numbers in one device. This is very convenient if you need to separate work and personal contacts or SIM cards from operators from different regions.

The smartphone is equipped with 2 cameras – main and front. As a rule, all manufacturers have better technical equipment for the main camera than the front camera. The Russian manufacturer decided not to be different from others and equipped its gadget with a main camera with a 2 MP matrix resolution and a built-in flash for shooting in low light conditions. Unfortunately, the camera parameters are clearly not enough to take decent quality pictures, but it may well come in handy if, for example, you need to take several photos in an emergency. In addition, if you are buying a device for a child, then a powerful camera is not needed in principle.

To implement wireless communication with the Internet the device has a built-in Wi-Fi module. If necessary, you can connect to an available network to find necessary information or download the mobile application.

The standard battery is responsible for the autonomous operation of the smartphone. lithium ion battery capacity 1300 mAh. Of course, we cannot call this indicator outstanding, but for performing a standard set of tasks that are possible with the functionality of this device, quite enough.

In addition to the standard set of functions that are quite expected in a smartphone in the budget segment, such as the HIGHSCREEN Pure J, we find a built-in GPS module. You can easily use your phone as a mobile navigator if necessary to find a store or cafe in an unfamiliar city. In addition, there is an MP3 player and FM radio, so you will find something to keep yourself occupied during a long journey or a huge queue.

Main technical characteristics:

  • GSM 850 technology: yes
  • GSM 900/1800 technology: yes
  • GSM 1900 technology: yes
  • 3G technology: yes
  • Operating system: Android 4.4
  • Display: 3.5 inches
  • Display resolution: 480320
  • Touch screen: Multitouch
  • Processor: MediaTek MT6572M, 1000MHz, 2-core
  • Volume random access memory: 256 MB
  • Built-in memory: 512 MB
  • Card support: Secure Digital microSDHC
  • Main camera: 2MP
  • Flash: yes
  • In conclusion, I would like to say that the Russian brand has produced a decent smartphone for its price segment. HIGHSCREEN Pure J in terms of appearance fully matches modern trends. The colorful design makes it a great device for your child. Specifications will allow you to comfortably use the available functionality, but you shouldn’t expect superpowers from it.

Introduction

Last year, a miniature smartphone from Vobis Computer (Highscreen) was released, which accidentally went unnoticed by me. However, no wonder: many reviewers passed it by, since the gadget has rather simple technical characteristics. At the moment, Pure J costs less than 3,000 rubles. Who should this one will do model? It seems to me that those who are completely uninterested in processors, chips, memory, IPS or AMOLED matrices, cameras, and so on, but Android is important to get a pair important programs, two SIM cards, extremely small dimensions and at least more or less decent appearance. Of course, the design of Pure J is also not all right, but the user can choose one of five colors back cover: black, white, orange, blue or yellow.

Design, dimensions, control elements

The Pure J smartphone inherits the design of the Pure F, which, in turn, retains its external resemblance to the Jolla device on Sailfish OS. That is, the body consists of two halves: the back side is rectangular in shape, and the back is flat, but the corners are shaped in a semicircle. It turns out to be a two-layer “pie”. Looks good.

As I wrote in the introduction, the device is available in several colors, or rather, covers are available in different colors. Alas, you will not find an additional panel in the kit, but it would be great, since the Highscreen company has already experimented in this direction. Probably, the manufacturer tried to save as much as possible on Pure J. As far as I know, all the covers are matte, pleasant to the touch, and the colors are quite bright.

Dimensions are small – 111x61x9.9 mm, after “shovels” like Samsung Galaxy Note, LG G4 or Meizu Pro Highscreen seems so small and easy to use that you will want to use it for a while. However, it disappears when the need arises to quickly type text on the keyboard, take photos, post them to work colleagues, or something similar.

The weight of the phone is 115 grams, about the same as Apple iPhone 5.

Despite the low cost, the Pure J screen has an oleophobic coating, and good quality: fingerprints are almost invisible, erased quickly, the finger glides easily. Material – glass.

Pure J scored a C plus or a B minus. Over time, the lid began to creak. Everything else is good.

At the top center is the speaker. It has a volume slightly above average, the quality is so-so: it wheezes on ringing notes, the sound is booming. To the right of the speaker is the front camera.

Below the display are control buttons. They are not backlit and are marked with silver paint.

Microphone - on the bottom, microUSB and 3.5 mm - on the top. On the left is the volume rocker, on the right is the power button. Relatively easy to use. Material – black glossy plastic.

On the reverse side there is a camera recessed into the body, a small LED flash, and a slot where the speaker is located.

The back panel is removable. Below it at the top are slots for microSIM and miniSIM, as well as a microSD connector.

Display

This device uses a screen with a diagonal of 3.5 inches. Physical size – 74x49 mm, frame on top – 17 mm, bottom – 19 mm, right and left – approximately 6 mm each. There is no anti-reflective coating.

The Pure J display resolution from Highscreen is HVGA, that is, 320x480 pixels, aspect ratio is 3:2, density is 164 pixels per inch. The matrix is not IPS, with an air gap.

The maximum brightness of white color is 350 cd/m2, the maximum brightness of black color is 0.65 cd/m2. Contrast – 550:1.

Since the matrix is not IPS, the picture, frankly speaking, is disappointing: when the display is tilted away from itself, the colors fade sharply, and when tilted towards itself, they are sharply inverted. The touch layer processes 2 touches.

Battery

This model uses a removable lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery with a capacity of 1300 mAh. The manufacturer does not provide data on battery performance.

In my conditions, the Highscreen Pure J “lived” for about 8–9 hours: for the entire time there was about an hour of calls, 4-5 hours of 3G, a couple of hours of Wi-Fi, a camera for about 20 minutes, about an hour of listening to music. In a more gentle mode, Pure F operates until the evening.

From staff network adapter The smartphone charges to 100% in about two hours.

Communication capabilities

The device supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz); 3G/HSPA+ (900/2100 MHz). The rest is a typical Android set: Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS (reluctant to search for satellites, but the accuracy is good). OTG mode does not work.

Memory and memory card

Inside there is only 256 MB of RAM, which is only enough for a couple of applications in the background. The built-in memory is also small - 512 MB. Unfortunately, you will need a memory card for the camera to work, and for everything else. Naturally, a slot was found for it, the maximum capacity is 32 GB.

Cameras

The Highscreen Pure J device is equipped with two camera modules: the main one is 2 MP without autofocus, the front one is 0.3 MP. There is a flash.

The camera modules in this device are pain and sadness. Instead of 2 MP it's probably 0.3 MP (interpolation). If you take a photo of an A4 sheet with text printed in 12-14 font, then most likely it will be difficult to make out the letters.

The device writes video in a resolution of 854x480 pixels at 15 frames per second. The sound is great. The quality of the video is definitely higher than the photo. Therefore, it’s better to make mini-videos than photos :)

Performance

The Highscreen Pure F smartphone runs on the old, hackneyed Taiwanese chipset MediaTek MT6572M. It uses a dual-core processor with a clock frequency of each core of 1 GHz. The graphics are Mali-400.

The interface is a little laggy, slows down, and there are friezes in the shell. The smartphone itself is slow and difficult to perform certain functions. But if the memory is not full of applications, then you can use Pure J without problems.

If we talk about games, it is better to play the simplest ones, something from the “Runner” series (run and collect coins). However, even in these cases there are slowdowns - apparently due to a lack of RAM.

At the beginning of November, we received the new Highscreen Pure J product, introduced at the end of summer. Its sales in Russia have already started; at the time of testing, according to the Yandex.Market service, the cost is 2990 rubles. This is the most cheap smartphone in the model line. Whether it is worthy of attention, we will try to figure it out during a detailed review.

If we consider the segment below 3,000 rubles, then most often smartphones with a screen diagonal of 3.2 to 4 inches appear here. You shouldn't count on powerful characteristics, although in general the situation has improved over the past year. You can usually forget about a pleasant appearance. Don’t forget about a separate segment – operator smartphones, where by linking the subscriber to its network, the operator compensates for part of the cost of the phone. If you are not planning to travel further than your region or install an additional SIM card, then it makes sense to turn to such solutions. Highscreen Pure J does not have such restrictions; it can be used outside the territory of Russia during trips and trips.

Video review of Highscreen Pure J

Equipment

Highscreen Pure J is supplied in compact eco-cardboard packaging. On the front part there is a schematic image of the case with data on the characteristics.

The package includes: headphones, micro USB cable, Charger, kit technical documentation and a warranty card.

Appearance

Like the previously released models of the Pure series, Highscreen Pure J received several body color options. A whole palette is available: white, black, yellow, orange, blue.

It looks pretty good for its price. One of the most interesting solutions in the budget up to 3000 rubles. He came to us for testing with a yellow lid. Light colors solve problems with possible scratches and fingerprints well.

The base is plastic, the front side is glossy, the back side has a light soft-touch coating.

I haven’t tested models with a 3.5-inch screen for a long time; it’s already unusual to see such dimensions. Here they are 111 x 61.6 x 9.9 mm and weigh 115 grams.

The smartphone literally sinks into your hands. All interface elements and mechanical buttons are within easy reach; it is quite comfortable to operate with the fingers of one hand. It won't be a problem to throw it into your jacket or trouser pocket.

The assembly is excellent, nothing creaks or plays. All parts fit tightly together. The case is collapsible. Under the cover there are: a removable battery, two SIM cards (one of them is micro SIM), a slot for a memory card.

The front side of Highscreen Pure J is covered with protective glass, it is not Gorilla Glass, you have to be careful. There is a protruding edge along the side edge that reduces contact with the screen to a minimum.

On the bottom frame there are three touch buttons without backlight, on top there is a speaker grille and a front camera.

Mechanical buttons are distributed between the side faces, on the right is the power button, on the left is the volume rocker.

If you look at the body in cross-section, the rounded edges attract attention. Thanks to them, the smartphone fits comfortably in your hands, and accidental falls are minimized.

At the top of the back cover there is a peephole for the main camera, which does not protrude above the surface of the body. Eat led flash, oblong lattice.

Screen

Highscreen Pure J has a 3.5-inch TFT TN screen with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. The density is low, but sufficient to avoid the pixelation effect. The picture looks juicy and harmonious. There are questions about viewing angles; distortion is noticeable when tilted vertically. Otherwise, the screen quality is quite good.

Filling

The heart is the MediaTek MT6572M processor. It is a dual-core system with 1 GHz cores with Mali-400 MP graphics. The platform is already outdated, but on the other hand, large loads are not planned. Running casual games is possible, but with serious projects there will be restrictions on RAM. On board only 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB internal memory. The main problems here are precisely in this area. Problems occur when running multiple programs.

Another point is opening several tabs with sites overloaded with advertising and widgets; you need to monitor their number. Plus, not all programs can be transferred to a memory card. There is Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM radio.

Antutu

Battery

A battery with a capacity of 1300 mAh is responsible for autonomous operation. This lasts for a couple of days without needing to charge. Highscreen Pure J has a low screen resolution and an energy-efficient chip, the load is minimal. With continuous movie playback, the smartphone works for more than 11 hours.

Camera

Two modules 2 and 0.3 MP. You can't expect excellent quality, but it's better than most tablets. There are no questions about focusing speed. Several modes and setting options are available. It is quite suitable for social networks and video communication.

Software

Highscreen Pure J works under the operating room Google system Android 4.4. There are no proprietary skins; over-the-air updates are supported.

Minimum amount of software, only original ones Google apps. There is Google Play.

Results for Highscreen Pure J

If you don’t set sky-high goals for Highscreen Pure J, then it is quite suitable for everyday use. Telephone for communication in social networks, instant messengers, browser, voice communication and light casual games. TO strengths It is worth mentioning a pleasant appearance, a long time battery life, good screen. You may not like the amount of RAM and internal memory.
